Agree. He is simply following the prophet ***.
And this is a positive thing in the eyes of him and of his prophets.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do

*** by the way I don't know which of them. One is living and the others are dead, so don't count...

Problem with your judgment here is that I once left the Church primarily over this issue, and then came back when I learned the whole and actual truth.

It is YOU who have an ignorance bias.... If it actually was racist, I wouldn't have came back to the Church.

Was it your study of Ebonics that helped you to realize that the doctrine wasn't actually racist?

But you are an ignorant, shallow, (overweight) bigot with a major inferiority complex. The fact that you decided to rejoin the Mormon church even though its has racist teachings has nothing to do with the decisions made by intelligent, rational people...by the way, love your website(s) - LOL!

It's obvious that you just left the church because you wanted to sin. And you only came back because you wanted to put your judgementalism and ignorance to better use.

How does that fit the definition of racism?

I am sure you already know that Cain was a murder, who was cursed by God.

I suspect you also know that the belief that blacks are the lineal descendants of Cain emanates from the curse of cain or mark of cain doctrine, and that it was this doctrine that Christians used to rationalize the morality of slavery.

But we are not, nor ever have been, those Christians. So again, how does that fit the definition of racism?:

It was from those Christians that the church got the doctrine of the curse.

We are the Christians who turned a racist belief into scripture and doctrine.

Then back it up and tell us what the actual truth is. Racist does not mean one has to have negative feelings toward another group. Priesthood ban is by definition based on race, and is therefore racist. This does not mean that those who maintained the ban had negative feelings towards blacks, although many some did.

I find it telling that he says he left over racist doctrine or policies. I stopped believing becuase the church was so unlikely to be the one true church.
