Is that offered as an explanation of the links to pornography that have been associated with this intrusive site? Figures.

I'm less worried about pornography than SCMC.

There are two things to be done about this.

First, obviously, it needs to be fixed by Keene.

But second and more importantly, every user of this board should download Chrome and the Adblock extension. Chrome is the most secure browser. It has a feature called the "sandbox" which basically isolates your browser and prevents it from ever making any changes to your computer unless specifically authorized by you. No one has yet been able to break out of the sandbox. This renders antivirus software virtually obsolete unless you make a habit of opening suspicious files. And as for Adblock, that will prevent porn pictures from popping up around family or coworkers.

I use Chrome with Adblock and I haven't had any problems. Since this problem has come to light I have scanned my computer with multiple spyware and anti-virus programs and none of them have found anything. I also have not been redirected to a porn site (this happened on my Android tablet, which does not use Chrome) or rr.nu. In short, I haven't noticed any difference, which is why I'm still here clicking on all the links and reading the threads.

I have Firefox, and have not had any issues today.

I did notice last night that when I accessed MDB on Safari while using my iPad, I did get redirected to a porn site. When I deleted the tab, and tried again, it went to the normal MDB site. I figured it was just some sort of anomaly and didn't really think it was a huge issue.

I am using Firefox here at work, and have had no issues. I do have the AdBlocker Firefox Ad-on.

Well at some point there has been a vulnerability exploited and some malware inserted. Even finding and removing the bad script will not mitigate the vulnerability and so without fixing the root cause it is apt to happen again.

I have the same problem. I've been running scans all day...

I am still not getting any problems, either on Firefox or Safari (Mac, OS X Lion), though I did get some odd behavior half a day or so ago, with the odd glimpse of the site people have mentioned. But ... no porn.

That may be connected with the fact that I have Trusteer Rapport on both browsers for this site. (It's a thing that some banks give to their clients.)

But the experiences of others do suggest that there is something nasty under the bonnet all the same.
