Plus, you know that athletic activities, swimming and modeling for celebrity-gossip magazines are exempt from the requirement to always wear them.

(Actually, they probably Photoshopped the cover, and the black outfit is likely a swimsuit cover.)

But why don't they show the kilt?

They did show the kilt, surprisingly.

Edit to add, I am surprised they allowed him to wear a kilt for the photos on the temple grounds. I wonder if he wore it like it was intended? Sans undies or his case no bottom garmies?

Watch the video from ABC:

They met on their missions! How expected for her!

Ohhhhh At 2:44 Elizabeth disses Utah bridal dress stores!

Stop me if you've heard this one.

The little old lady sidles up to the Scotsman, looking very embarrassed, and whispers to him: "Excuse me, and I hope you don't think I'm being rude, but I've always wondered if anything is worn under the kilt."

The Scotsman replies: "No ma'am, it's all in perfect working order!"

Why the idea that there's a problem with the kilt? A friend of mine wears his to church occasionally. It's a skirt; it's a tradition; it's cute.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Just how uptight the morg is about the homogenous look of their sheep. I thought the PR department would not want a Mormon male being seen in print not wearing a shark suit from Mr. Mac, nor a Mormon woman showing so much shoulder as Elizabeth is showing on the cover of People.

And I have seen Polynesian wraps (I forget what they are actually called) and sandals on the steps of the SLC temple worn even by non Polynesians. Thank goodness the Caucasian females at least tend to shave their legs.....

We the Morg are indeed pretty uptight about looking in a way society in general tends not to make negative judgements about. Various styles of customary dress, therefore are not prohibited. Those who complain about our mode of dress tend to be the alternative and rebellious minority. When you become the respected majority, then you will see us modestly dress like you. You've yet to bring beards back into style for example. You've got a long way to go.

Perhaps as long as a guy makes sure to wear a white shirt, exposing his bare legs wouldn't be a problem. We know women have the option of wearing skirts or pants. Oh, wait...
