Wrong. There are numerous ways in. Loading dock. Baptismal area. Several emergency exits without alarms.

Trust me.

And there is no way in hell Obama is going to lose the popular vote. Not by a long shot.

So that's how you were getting in

Right now Obama is setting at about 240 Electoral Votes and Romney has about 190 sewn up. With 270 as the magic number, Obama only has to take Florida (or Ohio, or Pennsylvania) and one or two other small count States to win.

Romney, on the other hand, pretty much has to sweep the swing States to win, and there is no chance of that happening now that the electorate has taken a look at him, not liked what they saw, and headed back to the incumbent.

Poll after poll shows that the big count swing States of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, are moving steadily into the Obama Camp. Obama is now ahead in all three and pulling away, especially in Florida. The Romney campaign can't hope match the Obama organization in Florida, regardless of the money they have to spend. I worked on this team in 2008 and it was good then. It is better now. There are a lot of wealthy liberal Jews down in Florida who really do not like Romney - and they are fired up, as are the hispanics and other minorities.

So if you were worried about this bit of trivia, don't be. There are much better things to do with your time.

Plus, I would imagine after September it's gonna be even harder for Romney to pick up votes.

Muahahahahahahahahaha

Here is a little wager, Nort. If it is proven that your little movie project actually kills the election for Romney, I'll pay you $100. Seriously.

In order to win my money, there have to be some substantial statistics proving that it is your film that lost him the election. If he loses due to some other reason, all bets are off.

My point is, I think you are MASSIVELY overestimating public perception of this little project of yours.

And I believe that YOU massively underestimate how damn creepy the endowment ceremony will be to non-members. Heck, even when I went through as a life long member it was creepy. When I took my wife-to-be through for HER first time she whispered to me in the Celestial Room, "I don't EVER want to do that again."

Even without the penalties, the average American will be SHOCKED at how creepy the endowment is. But, I believe Romney will lose no matter what. My "project" was something I wanted to do years before I ever heard of Mitt Romney. It's time the veil of secrecy was lifted from certain aspects of certain religions.

My next project will involve me joining Scientology.

If that's the case, why was there not more of an outcry when HBO's "Big Love" episode which included the temple endowment in detail was shown?

Let's face it. There are a lot of odd religious services which exist in the world today. The LDS Church hardly corners the market.

It probably won't be that big of a deal, but when Big Love did their episode, there wasn't a Mormon nominee for president.

There is a HUGE difference between a fictional tv show that depicts the endowment and the real thing. HUGE difference. I suspect a vast majority of people watching had no idea how accurate that episode was.

I have attended religious services in over 25 faiths. Everything from Hare Krishna, to Jehovah's Witnesses to Catholic to Holly Rollers in the deep South to RLDS to...well, you get the idea. NONE of them even came remotely close to the weirdness that I saw in the Mormon Temple. And NONE of them, with the exception of the Scientologists, have ceremonies or services that come close to the weirdness one sees in the temple.

And, as for the Big Love episode, three of the four news stations in SLC covered it on the 10:00 o'clock news. I don't know if that qualifies as an "outcry" but it DID make the news.

The Secret Service does not go to the "bathroom" with a President.

In other words, Secret Service are "near" in all kinds of places and situations without having to be right there with a President.
So no, they won't need to go into the Temple. They may however be allowed to "check" it before hand.

I think the Secret Service would bristle at the thought of LDS only agents, so if that shifts detail was not allowed access to secure the Temple, then Mitt simply would not be allowed to attend.
