I said "uniquely good". Sure the church does some good things. The Hell's Angels do some good things Vitto Coroloni did some good things etc, etc, etc,

I think the church probably does much more good then the Hells Angels, but that just a guess.

Yes very true. I would much rather have two missionaries knock on my door at 8:30 PM than two Hell's Angels. Though their bikes are way cooler than anything I rode while I was on my mission.

Can you tell me ONE uniquely good thing Mormons could ever possibly do that NOBODY else does?!?

No I can't.

Perhaps it is because you were trying to compare, unfairly, LDS with everyone else, and Darth just tried to provide some perspective. He was not stating LDS are lazy or less willing to help out then others. These types of numbers in many cases do not tell an accurate story. If you had just said LDS teach people to serve others I doubt anyone would have said anything.

I already know all about Darth's "perspective". And I know, I have to be very, very careful what I say. Did you ever hear the joke about the avid duck hunter and his miracle dog?

An avid duck hunter was in the market for a new bird dog. His search ended when he found a dog that could actually walk on water to retrieve a duck. Shocked by his find, he was sure none of his friends would ever believe him.

He decided to try to break the news to a friend of his, a pessimist by nature, and invited him to hunt with him and his new dog.

As they waited by the shore, a flock of ducks flew by. They fired, and a duck fell. The dog responded and jumped into the water.

The dog, however, did not sink but instead walked across the water to retrieve the bird, never getting more than his paws wet. The friend saw everything but did not say a single word.

On the drive home the hunter asked his friend, "Did you notice anything unusual about my new dog?"

"I sure did," responded his friend. "He can't swim."

My point was that you brought apologetics into the discussion by comparing LDS with others, but I did like the joke.

If the church were actually true, then I could name a number. If not true, then none. Good group of people though, even if that's not unique, which is a great thing.

I only posted two links. Didn't write a single word. On an aspect of LDS charity, which was also demonstrated in my home town in 1998 when we had severe floods, and they donated $100,000 (among the highest donations for a city no where the size of Sydney).

I thought it was about charity, not "apologetics", but I suppose I should have known better.
