If Schyver or others honestly believe that Schyvers paper will change the way that the Book of Abraham is studied, why not just release it? If it were really what they've claimed it is, it would stand on it's own merits. It would possibly save a couple testimonies as well. So why continue to sit on it?

Same with Greg Smith and his John Dehlin piece. If you honestly believe that John is a wolf in sheeps clothing and that he is leading people astray. Why are you just sitting on the piece that is alleged to expose him?

Because the paper probably blows. Look, this is typically Mopologetic strategy, it is much easier to defend a paper we are not allowed to read, just like it is easier to defend the existence of gold plates that angles took away. Just like the “Dehlin Hit Piece”, as long as the public can’t see it, it is a damn masterpiece.

It would take all of 20 minutes of labor max to put up PDFs of Will’s work on the web. Instead of doing that, no one but the “elect” get to see what Will wrote. Do we even have access to his slides form the FAIR presentation? It’s all better if no one can see what this tortured genius is capable of and blame it on Anti-Mormon critics who run the upper echelons of BYU.

It seems that anyone and everyone that goes to the aid of Schyrver ends up looking bad. I suppose if you handle pooh you're going to end up smelly...

Schryver has been saying he's the victim of a vicious smear campaign. Why would the victim apologize? Maybe he's taking Richard G. Scott's advice too literally.

This can happen just to smooth things over. It doesn't mean that the person is sorry for their behavior. However, since we don't seem to have will's take on it, it will all have to be speculation.

Is it possible he's referring to the still forthcoming apology for my calling him out over deriding Emma Smith as "a champion bitch" and an "emotionally volatile, high-maintenance woman who would have been a royal pain in the ass to deal with as a wife?"

He wasn't too far wrong about emma. She was difficult to live with but so was joseph. They loved each other to the end and I am sure that emma still loved joseph till the day she died. Her reaction to polygamy was a little over the top especially if she believed her husband to be a prophet.

Wonderful comment and such strong language. It is ashame that when members become exmembers and begin to post on the internet they lose their decorum.
