No. Zarahemla is. Cumorah is far from there, many cities by mountain route or by sea shore as the two final major campaigns took to the same place. The map I linked above shows this perfectly. Why is no on impressed? Even when you read what I write you brains still have on ignore

...because there is no verifiable evidence that supports the claim. It's one thing to believe in your religion (that's your privilege), but it's shameful to hijack another people's history and culture. For quite some time it was the Native Americans and then it was the people of Central America and now it's Peru. What's next......Zarahemla was in China?

If once or twice you ever happened to have read the book perhaps you would recognize the abundant evidence. Whnere else can you logically begin?

A Mesoamerican vaudeville entertainer who worked the Catskill circuit along with Shecky Zerahemnah. Blueberry was known for her fan dance with Curelom feathers.

A small hill located in western New York, United States of America. Here an ancient prophet named Moroni hid the gold plates containing some of the records of the Nephite and Jaredite nations. Joseph Smith was directed to this hill in 1827 by the resurrected Moroni to get these plates and translate a portion of them. This translation is the Book of Mormon.

Its a huge leap in logic to assume theyre intended to be different hills, given the line about Moroni being the last Nephite after a battle on a hill called Cumorah and burying them in said hill after essentially nothing transpires. Keep in mind theres purportedly a hill there where Moroni hid out and translated a lot.

The eyewitness account is there was a giant cave that opened up in Cumorah (New York) with scrolls and plates ceiling to floor that Mormon his father tranlslated from in his New York Cumorah hiding cave-theres even an official LDS art picture of Mormon in said cave. Supposedly Joseph Smith set the plates on a wooden table when he gave them back to Moroni, and the cave was sealed back up. Its pretty clear the consistency of the story called for Mormon having a bunch of records in that New York Cumorah, where they all died, and Moroni burying it there also. Not one in Peru and one in New York. I can't picture that being a logical step adopted based on positive evidence- rather a leap in logic to avoid being boxed in by inconsistencies no matter how insane that actually is.

Actually it all makes sense. Moroni transported the plates and traveled from southern South America to essentially Canada via tapir chariot.

The second gunman on the grassy knoll version for the Hill(s) Cumorah is driven by the recognition that the one in New York does not in any way lend evidentiary support for the Book of Mormon. This leads believers to one of only three possible conclusions:

1. It IS the hill Cumorah (official Church position) and God has removed all the evidence.
2. It ISN'T the hill Cumorah so there must be another one somewhere else and the official Church position is just Prophets speaking as men.
3. It ISN'T the hill Cumorah because the Book of Mormon isn't a literal, historical tale.

All three conclusions cause the thinking Mormon pause for thought, with option 2 being the one that sits most comfortably alongside their testimony of the Book of Mormon. Of course that also opens the door to the thought that perhaps the Church isn't always teaching/proclaiming things that are accurate and perhaps Prophets, Seers and Revelators can make mistakes when making seemingly inspired pronouncements and when publishing 'facts'.
