This one time, a schizophrenic perpetual virgin made fun of me because I couldn't remember all the superheroes that have been members of the West Coast Avengers.

Of course to continue your asinine metaphor you were pontificating on the West Coast Avengers and waxing philosophical about them before you were corrected.

I guess by comparison that makes you an emasculated mental defective.

P.S. Shades, you did not actually delete my account as I requested some time ago. Well, I'm off again. Enjoy your intellectual special olympics.

Joseph Smith "translated" the plates while they lay covered, often out of site (like when J.S's head was plopped in the middle of a dark hat looking at a rock). Wandering for 35 years up to New York State was an utterly useless task on the part of Moroni.

I think I will attend Sunday school this week with the same attitude as "The Nehor." When someone makes an incorrect comment I will correct them while telling them I had a good laugh at their ignorance. Then if someone makes a second factual error that is inconsequential to the discussion I will sneer condescendingly at the whole class saying "did I get smarter or were Mormons always this ignorant?" and then while walking out I will tell them all to enjoy participating in the intellectual special Olympics even if several of the other classmates also corrected the original mistake.

Someone's a little cranky.

Weird right? Here is someone who has the "truth", eternal life in his very grasp, but just cranky as hell anyway. Why? Well, because ignorance, or mistakes, or human nature is taking place someplace in the world and the Nehor doesn't approve of it.

Corrected, that is, by a schizophrenic perpetual virgin who thinks the events in a given issue of Marvel Comics really happened, and that Moon Knight, Hawkeye, and company are real people.

Yes, that is some major pwnage to be corrected by someone like that.

I guess by comparison that makes you an emasculated mental defective.

I totally agree that a person's relative intelligence is demonstrated by his/her knowledge of trivial Mormon teachings. (Please excuse the redundancy of "trivial Mormon teachings.")

Say, that reminds me: The Nehor, do you remember that thread when you kept insisting that the LDS Church doesn't tell its members not to watch rated R movies, and that it was just some talk that mentioned in passing a personal opinion that rated R movies are bad?

And then it was demonstrated that your insistence was spectacularly misplaced, because the LDS Church has consistently and unequivocally taught since at least the 1970's that LDS members should not watch rated R movies?

You know... You make a really good point. You think someone who is on the cusp of Eternal Life and godhood would exist in a state of bliss. I mean... C'mon... You get through this little *pfft* life, and you're set. And yet, there is Mr. Nehor. Fussy. Petulant. Offensive. Adversarial.

It's almost as if on some level he knows it's BS....

No, I was actually smiling when I typed that up.

Not perfection. I admit I sometimes get peeved/amused when subliterate morons slag off something I care about. Normally I ignore it but when I wander into it and said subliterate morons are too lazy to even get the facts right I sometimes feel the need to point that out.

To make an analogy you are accusing me of demanding the perfect basketball game when your team can't even figure out how to dribble without tripping over the ball.

I agree that one's relative intelligence cannot be determined by their knowledge of LDS teachings. I do think it is an indicator of excessive stupidity to smugly point out flaws while displaying your own ignorance.

That is not what I said.

I will concede the point that smugly pointing out flaws from conversations years ago on an obscure message board and being wrong is more pathetic then the scenario I pointed out above. Bravo.

Greetings Doctor CamWhore,

How have you been? You would think that because you are ignorant of scripture. The Savior was way beyond me in terms of Eternal Life and the like and his life was not one of bliss. In fact he got so annoyed about people denigrating things he cared about that he flogged them out.

I have not yet reached this point. When I burn this website to the ground and salt the earth behind perhaps at that point I shall be found worthy of Eternal Life. I am sure we all look forward to that day.

Yeah, I really don't see how anyone who doesn't know that Moon Knight has mental health issues has any standing to say that the stories we read about the West Coast Avengers are not true.

(I hope you appreciate the shout out to you by my reference to Moon Knight, The Nehor.)

Oh, yes, that most certainly is what you said:

"The R-rated movie thing comes from one quote from a talk by a Prophet given to a Youth audience and to my knowledge has never been repeated by anyone in authority." viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13128&hilit=rated

"You're pathetic," said a perpetual virgin who thinks that there really was a group of Bronze Age refugees who left Mesopotamia in a flotilla of wooden submarines and created a vast, advanced civilization in America.
