If a deity forced our brains to be convinced that would take away our "free will" and if we are to be tested about whether or not we would recognize Christ then surely forcing it would defeat the object.
I could believe in aliens. I just don't think there are any amongst us. Not where I live anyway.
My point isn't that I think there is some sort of unfair test out there. It's to point out the silly notion that we should be able to recognize Christ at all. Why? Based on some sort of warm feeling in our chest? No one who has claimed to have seen Him actually knows it's Him as opposed to some sort of super advanced being messing with us. But, for some reason, people just waive off the thought of an alien appearing to us as not believable but embrace the story that a 2000-year-old man coming back from the dead to visit as believable. It should be the other way around, in my opinion.
Perhaps people who think they saw him actually saw an alien and assumed it was him lol

I totally agree. In fact, Travis Taylor said in an early Skinwalker Ranch episode that aliens probably visited Joseph Smith.

If naturalist explanations for Mormonism fail, I would have a far easier time believing that an alien or (aliens) were responsible for the Book of Mormon and Mormonism than the divine visitation story Smith told. I shudder to think that there is an omnipotent being out there who is both responsible for the entire universe and operates as depicted by Mormon theology. Aliens, on the other hand, who didn't have any sort of prime directive to follow and with a twisted sense of humor dropping by every 1000 years of so, makes more sense. It wouldn't even have to be an actual living being. We now have the technology to identify habitable exoplanets lightyears away by examining the spectrum of light from their sun passing through their atmosphere on the way to us, which means any alien civilization more advanced than us may have already spotted us and sent some sort of probe this way, one that had an AI in it and was programed to interact with us. That is a hell of a lot more believable than reconstituting a dead body with all its memories and have it pretend to be the God of this world. But, we live in a culture where the dead resurrecting is more believable than alien visitation.

Moroni as an Angel was total bunk, and now The Three Nephites too as per the latest revelation. I believe Angel visitations are described in the Bible; unfortunately parts of the Bible aren’t what they’re cracked up to be. What’s the point of cracking books, now that The Wicker Man has graced us with his presence. :?:

Maybe books may clue up some good questions.

Does he say Moroni appeared as an Angel?

I assume that's what he meant. The alien's real name would be impossible to pronounce so it makes sense to refer to his stage name.

YeahImage
Parker was the stage name used by the narrator of Slog’s story when she played a friend of the friend of God on CBS God Friended Me. START OF RANT explains the pre-embellished Angel Moroni story that was foisted on us, as per Dan Vogel’s Pious Fraud Theory.

Alas, modern apostles now use the weasel words "we have a special witness of Christ." Whatever that means. If they can't come out and say plainly what prophets past have been proud to say, what does that tell us?
At least they don't straight-up lie like Lorenzo Snow did.

Do you mean Nephi-cum-Moroni? Joseph Smith first claimed that angelic visitor was "Nephi", and then later "Moroni".
