I would normally be against the use of AI to spread misinformation but since the target of the video runs an entire sham journal dedicated to ahistorical conspiracy theories about the pre-Columbian Americas, I think it’s rather fitting.

When Oxford University begins teaching a class on Lamanite culture and religious studies, perhaps I’ll change my mind.

I’m not aware of any current Utah law that may prevent a deepfake vid to be used for general parody purposes (and steering clear of political, commercial and revenge porn usage), but the content here might be treading into a legal grey zone. Regardless, this post belonged in the AI thread from the start. At the very least it should be moved there. I also think a post like this weakens any genuine criticism being made about Interpreter. It just legitimises Peterson’s bemoaning of this board. Everybody Wang Chung scores an own goal with this one as far as I’m concerned.
