In how many ancient cultures was literature marked by summarizing chapter & section headings?
I would think more common than not. It’s like a common courtesy to the reader.
More importantly, in how many cultures is there no evidence of any summarizing chapter and section heads in the extant literature?

Good questions, Dr. Moore. Perhaps in Uto-Aztecan this happened all the time.Dr Moore wrote: ↑Wed Nov 04, 2020 1:01 amIn how many ancient cultures was literature marked by summarizing chapter & section headings?

Interesting, Reverend--I'm sure you're right. And interesting choice of word there: "concern" and "affection," of course, are not the same thing, exactly. I can't help but think of the case of David Bokovoy, where "genuine concern" was also involved.
All true. So, I don’t know how the politics and dynamics of the situation play out. I am hopeful that Young Smoot finds his niche, but I would prefer that he get a real job and abandon Mopologetics. I have no gripe with his love of Mormonism. There are many ways of expressing Mormon nerdiness, however. What the world needs less of is Mopologetic hostility. I guess it keeps us employed at old Cassius U. There is that. If we weren’t graduating so many counter-Mopologists, we couldn’t keep the lights on.
