Here's my educated guess - Will is going to be nicer to beastie now.

I admit it will be more of a challenge. I'll just have to try harder.

And fair is fair, beastlie dear. Here is me in all my abhorrent alpha male glory:

It's about two years old, and I've been growing my hair out for almost a year and a half now, so I'm looking somewhat different today than I did then, but you still get the idea. So now you have an image upon which to focus your bitchy disdain.

By the way, shut up, Ray.

You've become irrelevant again.

Don't you have some fare to meet?

Can't you take yourself and your curse and find somewhere else to play?

I am prepared for everyone to tell me I could have simply clicked on another thread, and that others really enjoyed where this went, but I am so uninterested in what people think of Will's character or what that supposedly says about Mormonism. Frankly, I'm not sure it says all that much. It may indicate something about Will, and so what?

I'm off work until Sunday (unless I get called in on Saturday).

Well I tried MAD, but it sent me mad. I suppose I could post there again just to hassle you.

Well, speaking only for myself, I haven't tried to say Will's character says much about Mormonism (he's not a very typical Mormon - or at least, not a very good one), and mostly says something about Will.

I do, however, find it interesting to consider why he thinks he's justified in being a moronic, hypocritical ass. It's like... a case study. Why is any mental patient nuts? I find that interesting.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.

And frankly, Trevor, I agree entirely.

I'm not responsible for turning this into a discussion of my personal perfidy, or whatever it is that it's become.

I'd much rather discuss beastlie's nice legs.

Ah, I'm sorry for you lashing out at you Ray. It's not all your fault.

It's just that, now that I've delivered my appointed message to you, I've got no other potential cursees to dust my feet about, and I'm just feeling a bit directionless at the moment.

This silly discussion about my out-of-control "objectifying" of women was interesting for a while, but it grew old pretty fast. (Although it did take a turn for the entertaining right at the end there!)

Anyway, don't worry, I'll get over it before long and be back to my normal antipathetic self.

In the meantime, perhaps you could start a thread wherein you discuss the scores (or hundreds?) of people I've driven out of the church with my obnoxious apologetics and offensive personality.

No one left to curse. What a sad, boring day for Will. Why not take a walk down the street and look for some apostates to curse, or are there none in Cedar City besides yourself?

Okay, I admit it was hyperbole. Besides, I wouldn't want your head to get any bigger.

You’re a prophet, man, a prophet.

That, of course, was my entire point. I knew all along that if Will ever actually saw a picture of me, he’d be far less vitriolic with me.

Of course all human beings notice physical attractiveness, and it’s unrealistic to pretend it doesn’t affect how we regard each other. There was just recently a great example of this from Britain’s version of American Idol:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY

Image

Based on nothing more than her dowdy appearance, the judges and audience were certain she was going to be a dud, and laughed at her aspirations. And then she opened her mouth. For all the people on this planet who have had to suffer from being judged and belittled due to nothing more than their looks, I wanted to shout: YOU GO GIRL!

This is just a fact of life – and a rather cruel one, at that. So much of life is determined based on the luck of your genetic draw: how good looking were your parents? Yet it seems to me that we can at least try to resist that impulse, because, on some level, we must know it’s wrong.

And, no, Will, I’m certain we’ve never met. I am naturally a brunette.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
