Oh I don't just limit it to YEC's... :)

I love that he keeps claiming that people are insulting him in lieu of an argument, hoping that nobody will notice that he keeps claiming it in lieu of an argument.

I'm sure. Next time I'll be more inclusive of your arrogance.

Interesting timing here. I was just wondering why it is that criticism (I've yet to find an example of one that does not do this) of science is riddled with sarcasm and ridicule. Not of the ideas, just the people that have them.

What are you so afraid of?

Basically they can't. However, there is always a clever (or not so clever) ad hoc way of getting around any given problem for YEC. For example, they could claim that stars are not really that far away at all or that the speed of light is not contant or that it isn't what we think it is. But modern science is an edifice of mutually supportive continually tested ideas and such ad hoc measures just create more problems than they solve--many many more.

Basically, they are claiming that the giant jigsaw puzzle of a detailed picture of Einstein that you just assembled is put together incorrectly and that it is really a picture of Kent Hovind--they just can't show you how the whole thing is put together in this absurd alternative way. They just object on a piece by piece basis.

That is what I am finding. Very similar to LDS apologetics.

by the way, nice avatar.

I just hope no one thinks that it is me in the picture. LOL What you are looking at is 5' 4'' and 120 lbs and I hope obviously female.

Of course anyone reading this will be very confused when I put back up a different avatar (say one of myself again)

BFF,

I'm too darned tired to read this whole thread. If my request is redundant, just skip over it.

Can you show me Biblical scripture that demonstrates that the ancients believed in a flat earth?

No, not really. Over the last few days I have learned that Christian flat earth belief may very well be a myth. I could go back and edit, but I'll just let my blunder stand as a witness against me. *smile* Sorry, bestie.
