If you don't believe slavery was wrong then I can't help you. If you believe me saying that "everyone" believes slavery was wrong includes those historical people who actually participated in it then you obviously can't be reasoned with. It saddens me, and it saddens me especially when you think this statement is racist:
It saddens me that Mormons think they have a leg to stand on when pontificating about the evils of racism.
No, not saddens. What's the word? Oh, yes: laugh. Uncontrollably.
one of the most impressive and impassioned speeches I have heard in my entire life. His words were eloquent, articulate, and profoundly earnest.
So Schryver is saying that his African-American friend's speech, which reflected this Dr.'s opinion, was impressive and impassioned.
And you equate that with him saying that "Slavery Was a Blessing to Blacks" as the thread title indicates?
LOL!
Yes, Simon/static/Radex/oxygenadam/etc.! And it looks that way to any normal person with any modicum of reasoning ability, a demographic from which you have permanently excluded yourself! LOL!
But go ahead and tell us that Mormon Voices was frothing in the mouth about nothing when they called for Rick Perry to disown Robert Jeffress because Jeffress called Mormonism a non-Christian cult! LOL!

Can anyone find a statement within either of the blogs in question where either Peterson or Schryver state that "slavery was a blessing to blacks?" If you can't, then this thread is one giant obfuscatory fabrication. You're all frothing at the mouth over something that doesn't even exist.
Simon, do you judge every movie or book on the title alone? Is the thread title representative of the thread as a whole? Are there no limits to your wrongheadedness?

You are using what I have come to learn is standard mopologist strategy for when dealing with the issue at hand is simply not an option: muddy the waters, obfuscate, throw out one post after another of intentionally dense tangents. It's all designed to get everyone off the topic and make the conversation about you and your idiocy. Now people following this thread have to wade through dozens of meaningless posts from you and those who get sucked into trying to address you and your idiocy.
I've never put anyone on ignore before now. Congratulations, you're the first. I hope everyone else will do the same.

I have a sort of sneaking affection for Simon Belmont ... he has been in my sig line so long that I think of him as an old friend.

Yeah, but apparently I'm not smart enough to figure out how to put someone on ignore. Could someone give me a hint?

Go to user control panel, then "manage foes." There will be a box for the people you want to list as "foes." When it asks you if you are sure you want to take that action and you click yes, the person(s) you have listed will be on ignore.

Blue strip at top of page
Choose: User CP
Options: manage friends and foes
Choose: foes
Add a user name.
In future, instead of your 'foes' ' posts appearing in full, there will just be a line saying they have a post in the thread. If you want to see it, you can still choose to do so.
