I have forgotten more about Mormonism than you will ever know.

Fascinating. So you basically admit you've forgotten pretty much everything you knew about Mormonism. What other interesting tidbit are you going to share with me? Your favorite color?Bob Loblaw wrote:I have forgotten more about Mormonism than you will ever know.Tobin wrote:Bob, when I said some people on this forum have a dim understanding of Mormonism, I may have been a bit too generous in that assessment.

“Chapter 45: The Postmortal Spirit World,” Gospel Principles, 289
The spirit world is a place of waiting, working, learning, and resting from care and sorrow. Our spirits will live there until we are ready for our resurrection. Then our mortal bodies will once more unite with our spirits, and we will receive the degree of glory we have prepared for (see chapter 46, “The Last Judgment”).
“Chapter 46: The Last Judgment,” Gospel Principles, 294
At the Final Judgment we will be assigned to the kingdom for which we are prepared. We will be sent to one of four places: the celestial kingdom (the highest degree of glory), the terrestrial kingdom (the second degree), the telestial kingdom (the lowest degree), or outer darkness (the kingdom of the devil—not a degree of glory).
“Words to Know,” Gospel Fundamentals, 278
Spirit world: The place where the spirits of all mankind go after death until the resurrection.
Our spirits came from the CK. Of course spirits live there. Before we were born, we lived with God in heaven as spirits. All of our spirit brothers and sisters were there, too—everyone who has lived or will live on earth including Jesus Christ....
But the deceitful critics would pretend the unaccountable have sinned and must therefore go to the spirit world and can not return to their Father in Heaven as the prophet taught instead:Moses 6:57 Wherefore teach it unto your children, that all men, everywhere, must repent, or they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God, for no unclean thing can dwell there, or dwell in his presence; for, in the language of Adam, Man of Holiness is his name, and the name of his Only Begotten is the Son of Man, even Jesus Christ, a righteous Judge, who shall come in the meridian of time.
Interesting, it doesn't say they are saved in the spirit world?!?D&C 137:10 And I also beheld that all children who die before they arrive at the years of accountability are saved in the celestial kingdom of heaven.
3 Nephi 11:37 And again I say unto you, ye must repent, and become as a little child, and be baptized in my name, or ye can in nowise receive these things.

I see plenty of evidence that the church never had the truth, so the changes that have come are just what should be expected from a man-made institution trying to survive in a changing culture.
But, taking someone else's words and passing them off as your own is plagiarism even if you do add in a few of your own words. That kind of thing doesn't help your case. And you know damn well that the kind of apology people are talking about here requires an admission of regret because of your wrongdoing. Trying to claim your self-justification counts as an apology is super lame. Just own up. Say you're sorry and move on.

You tell me that you're sorry
Didn't think I'd turn around and say..
That it's too late to apologize, it's too late
I said it's too late to apologize, it's too late
Sorry Jo, you had your chance to explain and apologise, you are now going on ignore...3...2...1...
