You've made the right move, Carton. Simon has proven himself to be a troll time and time again. The only way to get rid of such nuisances is for everyone to ignore them. The discussion would only improve.

Hi there, Simon.

No one is going to listen to you, and the reason for this is only partly due to the actual (questionable) content of what you've been saying. The reason no one is going to listen is because you've lied too many times: about stealing people's IP addresses, about working for Stamford Hospital, and so on. You lost your cool one too many times, and this culminated in me having to tell you that you may one day find yourself having to account for crossing the line in a very bad way. You experienced a massive meltdown after this--nay, a nuclear-grade meltdown--and deleted your Simon Belmont account. Now you've come back using yet another sock puppet, and you expect people to listen to you? I don't see how that's going to happen without you coming clean on your past misdeeds. Many of us here have long memories.

I agree. Besides, I'm tired of looking at his ugly face. He still can't spell the name of the church correctly and has no explanation for the false Explanations of Facsimile No. 3 which he can shove up his hole.

Simon is now on ignore.

Go to user control panel, then "manage foes." There will be a box for the people you want to list as "foes." When it asks you if you are sure you want to take that action and you click yes, the person(s) you have listed will be on ignore.

OK. Thanks. I actually almost did that. Got all the way to the little confirmation yes/no window, but then I clicked "No" because I wasn't sure.

Yes, it's a lot more than simple lies. It is the dishonest approach to his very participation, his obviously skewed and stunted moral reasoning, and his preaching to everyone as though he possessed any shred of moral authority. It is one of the most vile and pathetic displays of moral bankruptcy I have ever witnessed. It is beneath contempt.

I see it as a kind of involuntary performance art. It is weirdly magnificent.

For me too!

Putting Simon on "ignore" feels ten times better than muting tampon commercials.

I was kinda hopin' I'd never put anyone on ignore. It seems antithetical to the idea of a public board. But then I'd never met static. He's gone baby gone. If someone quotes him, will that still be visible to me? I hope not.

And thanks for the "ignore" tutorial above, I couldn't have done it with out you.

Unfortunately, you will still be able to see quotations of his crap in others' posts.

Hi Doctor Scratch,

I must admit that I am taken aback by your (hopefully misinterpreted) hostility. I don't know what "line" you believe I've crossed, but I don't think making threats is an appropriate way to talk with someone who has different views and opinions than you do. I was under the impression that at Mormon Discussions "yes, you can say that here!" is this not the case? I am not sure why some people here believe me to be someone that they knew in the past, but I am not that person.

Now, I don't believe I've been particularly mean toward anyone here, and it seems like it is important for some of you to shut-out ideas that might be different from your own via the "ignore" thing. It doesn't bother me. What bother's me is issuing the serious charge of racism against two people who are clearly not racist. The thread title is Peterson and Schryver: Slavery Was a Blessing to Blacks. What that means to those who click on the thread is that Peterson and/or Schryver said those words. All I am asking for is Carton to produce those words. That's all. Why am I such a bad guy for that?

I suppose I'll leave, because clearly opposing viewpoints are not welcome here (where, "yes you can say that here!" abounds).
