Derails aside (mine included), I'm curious to know if, having considered the VE hypothesis for evolution of eukaryotic organisms as described above, you would still claim that sexual reproduction and mitosis are impossible under DET.
Yes, I would (and do) still consider this to be impossible!
In addition, I am surprised that you would imply that these things are not really an issue/issues amongst the DET scientific community.
The reality is (from the wide and collective scientific community across the entire spectrum) that these things are among the greatest puzzles (as well as deepest challenges) that the DET proposal faces.
I am heading out to the lake with the family (going to try to set a hook in the mouths of some of my ancestors) so I apologize for not engaging other posts that might appear from you in a timely manner.
Peace,

Ceeboo,
So, let me get this straight.
In direct response to a question from you, a question to which you requested a response, I have provided some background information for you on the characteristics of, and differences among, prokaryotes, eukaryotes and viruses, referred you to a postulated mechanism for appearance of eukaryotic organisms (the ones that invented sex) in evolution, cited and provided a link to one of several papers supporting the postulated mechanism, and advised you that that if you were to go read about this mechanism for yourself, in an article that I excerpted on the thread, you would find references to several dozen more scientific papers of a similar nature.
Your response, without any indication that you have read or understood what I posted, or done any research on the subject whatsoever, and without citing any papers or literature to support your position, can be summarized as "nuh-uh".
No need to respond any further, my friend. It is pretty clear where this "discussion" is headed. I'll just get off here, thank you.
Hope you enjoy your weekend.
