I don't see your principles as being in contradiction to critical theory, but I certainly could be missing something.

Sorry, I skipped over some of my thinking in making that comment. In the course of the discussion it appears to me that critical theory is essentially post-modern critiques of legal and social structures. Given idealism is anathema to post-modernism, well.

Gotcha. And that’s exactly how I understand critical theory. Postmodernism was a wave that rolled through just about every (maybe every) academic discipline. It has different names when applied to different areas of study, but I think it’s basically the same technique.

Sadly I am serious. Please take a step back and look at the reoccurring theme of the links you post... NY Post, Federalist, American Thinker, Real Clear, Fox... They all fall on the same idealogical line. Over the last few years the rhetoric and messaging is hard to stomach, and similar to Mormon apologetics, has actually made me less conservative. The news industry, like print and television, has had to reinvent themselves over the past 10-15 years. They need "clicks" and "eyeballs", so they make ridiculous claims, and this is both sides of the debate. As soon as a source is from certain websites or providers, my bias is on alert, and that is something that I am working on, but i tend to be highly disappointed when I try and give it a chance.

I am basing my analysis of this critical race theory issue through personal and professional channels that have changed my life and perspective. Far too often we try and claim that we understand what other people are living through and we always have the answers. It is time for most of us to shut up and actually listen, use our eyes, accept that life is unfair to some/most, and strive to do the right thing everyday, even if that means some aspect of our personal life takes a hit.

The best example that i can share is Obamacare. I hated it when it first launched, i had a new young family, a good job with solid benefits. Then this new system was stood up and my benefits were not as good as before. I pay more for things, my coverage isn't as good, etc.. I was mad, angry, but then I had conversations with people, the ones who were able to take advantage of the new healthcare system, it was life-changing for them. My attitude changed, and i realized not everyone has the benefit of parents who instilled the need to have a job that provided good benefits. I was lucky.
