I'd like to congratulate our new mods. Congrats guys!

Some advice for the two who have never been mods before, such as Canpakes, the moderator panel can be really confusing. Personally, I still don't get it. Hey, you know, I'll bet if you make some mistakes at first; such as, let's say you were to accidentally ban MG 2.0 for a few weeks, that people will totally understand and be forgiving about it ... especially MG 2.0 himself. Or should I say, slow to judge, quick to forgive MG 2.0. Isn't that right, MG?

I mean, by comparison, the moderator panel is far more confusing than the interface for composing posts, and if it took like 5 tries for MG to figure out how to correct a misattribution of foul language to a fellow participant, given his 10+ years of experience using the interface, then I'm sure MG will be understanding if on the very first day, a new mod were to accidently send him oblivion for a while given how confusing those dials and buttons of the mod panel are.

Exhibit #1 for why we all have such respect for Dean Robbers - how could one not want to emulate such a fine fellow!

How would you prefer I let you know that it still hasn't been fixed at this point? How about smoke signals? Morse Code? Text message? Twitter? Email? Facebook? Fed Ex?

How about I send a freaking pigeon with a message stapled to his freaking left toe!

I'm all done with this MG - It's way past absurdity-land at this point.
Ceeboo, I’m very sorry about the miscommunication and my apparent misunderstanding of what your request was asking me to do. I thought I had fixed things before I went out with my daughter for a chunk of the day. I hope you can understand. I had absolutely no malevolent intent at all towards Lem.

I think this episode goes to shoe how a misunderstanding can escalate dramatically within a short amount of time.

Unfortunately, in the case of some folks here, this episode will be used against me in some form or fashion. I was a bit flummoxed as to how quickly IHAQ jumped on the bandwagon. Hasty conclusions and hasty convictions.

By way of an aside, I think there are those that operate in this manner against the LDS church and its leaders. And by association, active and believing members of said church.

Quick to judge, slow to forgive or forget.

Regards,
MG
From the other board, two previous occurrences of the exact same derailing event, with the exact same excuse and obfuscation:

Please correct your post and please stop misattributing people's quotes.
My bad. Although I must say...when you use the words, "stop misattributing people's quotes" it makes it sound like I'm doing it all the time.

I'm not.

It was an honest mistake.

Thanks,
MG

And yes, I used those words specifically because you have done this before.
Oops. Got in a rush and had to go somewhere and forgot. I think you'll be satisfied now.

I'm sure I've done it before when I'm in a hurry. But not often.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I obviously don't do it to malign you in any way. I hope you don't perceive it as such.

Regards,
MG

I thought I did do it. Didn't I? I'm at work today doing an activity run and am posting when I have time in between 'working hard'.

I didn't intentionally prolong the time it took to fix it.

Whiner. Troll. Derailer.

So that's minimum three times in the recent past mg has pulled this EXACT SAME derailing trick, where he misquotes, pretends he fixed it, or "thought" he had, disappears without correcting it, then blames others when he returns.

It's interesting he ends his derailing effort this time with this:

The only one operating "in this manner" is mentalgymnast.

And the crazy thing is, this is true. And I still don’t know why my fix didn’t work this morning. I must have not gone all the way throughout the process.

Way to join in on building a mountain out of a molehill, Gadianton.

Five times, huh? Aargh.

No tricks, just honest mistakes. Sometimes I may get in a hurry if I’m posting a lot and trying to get back to real life.

You’re building a good case for my unintentional mistakes though!

I’m human.

Hi, Mental Gymnast. I’ve been watching you for quite some time. Personally I think you should call yourself Mental Genius, because you’re the total package. So smart. So handsome.

I like it when you troll those bad guys on that board of yours :)

Anyway, I just wanted to say I’m a big fan, mentalchan. Peace and kisses!

Exactly. Although we are now up to about 10 tries to 'fix' an error mg repeatedly uses to derail. Lucky for us, the jig is up and the mods will fix future occurrences.

(Although I am still partial to Gad's suggestion of accidentally sending the poster in question to "oblivion for a while." )

Is it not fixed yet? If not, what still needs to be done? How can I make it right?
