...playing the martyr is your typical exit strategy when you can’t respond to someone who expresses disagreement.
If you say so.

Other go-to exit strategies for this mental gymnast include

--- 'I've been under the weather this week and need to stop,'

--- 'i have family obligations and need to stop,'

and multiple variations along the lines of

--- 'all i know is there is a creator god and woe unto you who don't.'

He'll left once this week and is already back. He is addicted to his trolling.

You know this is you playing the martyr again MG, right?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Perhaps if MG were to put on a Beatles album and read the Book of Abraham at the same time he'd feel a little better about his poor religious life. He can concentrate on chapter one where Abraham Joseph Smith tells us how ancient Egypt was "first discovered" after the flood in about 2300 BC, after the pyramids were built. Fundamental Christians and looney Mormons walk in lock-step when it comes to denying true history in favor of biblical man-made myths -- feel good stories. ;)

Poor MG. He doesn't know what to make of the Book of Abraham origin story. He has no answer. No response. No excuse.

So, put on a Beatles record, MG, and delight yourself with those old familiar tunes -- Here Comes the Sun.

PS. It's fun to make fun of MG.

Yes, but not THAT much fun. You see, I remember the old days when real meaty mopologists roamed this board, and could be engaged in combat on issues that were, essentially, matters of fact or logic. They lost, and they left.

So, no more red meat in this forum. All we have left is a single solitary jellyfish, infinitely slithery and elusive, and even if you do catch him he doesn't taste of anything much.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
Mayan Elephant:
Not only have I denounced the Big Lie, I have denounced the Big lie big lie.

MG is like a slithery & slippery snake and has little to offer this forum. He's a lifelong victim of Mormonism. It's been a Long and Winding Road for him.

Isn't that right, MG? You poor little thing.

I suppose if we keep piling insults on MG and he could stop posting. In that case the board could devote itself to Daniel Peterson.

People don’t want him to stop posting. They want him to behave in a good faith manner, to practice what he’s preaching, to stop trolling, and to stop treating female posters like second class citizens. Is that really too much to ask?

The operative word is could but he won't. He's addicted to the board like a Snapple addict.

Time for a refreshment:

Orthodox Jews too.

I must hand it to the Catholics and Orthodox, because as far back as Augustine, they've taken the Torah to be allegorical. These days we know that it's allegorical with 100% certainty. (Unless we're living in a virtual reality, and the creator(s) of this VR are wild-ass tricksters and pranksters.)
