Has DCP et al. denied or acknowledged the existence of this text? It has been quite some time since the discussion of the text unfolded. DCP et al. are well aware of this thread and other communications requesting denial or acknowledgement. I am not sure what DCP et al. is hiding from?

Well, you, your pal "static," and Daniel Peterson can play your dumb little sophistical games, but there is little reason to disbelieve John Dehlin when he claims that he has proof of the existence of the hit piece. All any of you have done in reality is quibble about the description. Well, go take a long walk off a short pier. I don't care that you don't believe that nasty FARMS reviews are hit pieces or what have you. Most people with half a brain who don't live under the warped vision of a siege mentality realize that the nastiness of this writing cannot be rationalized on the basis that the Church is under attack from all sides. A number of the nasty attacks have been against well meaning scholars and members of the LDS Church in good standing. What we have here is good old fashioned McConkie-style takedowns of the people one disagrees with. That is the classic Mopologetic MO. It was wrong when McConkie did it, but he at least had apostolic authority to back it up. These vicious apologetic attacks were not penned by an apostle. I am glad that a GA had the good sense to intervene.

You don't have a clue what we have here. John hasn't even seen this piece in question. Besides, who cares? The amount of anger and resentment shown to LDS folks here, the amount of writings to attack LDS folks here, makes any amount of offense anyone here has for a claimed 100 page hitpiece that no one has read, seen, or smelled hypocritical. It's all sweetly typical of the drama espoused here, no doubt. Surely the divisive folks in yoru crowd are happy that John has come here using this as a platform to attack DCP. Now, more of you guys can ignore him, which won't happen with hostile folks like Scratch, and treat him with contempt and condescension. This thread sucks. In a way, Scratch used ol John to create more drama and hate directed at DCP. John used this as a vehicle to attack folks like DCP. No one knows anything about what was written, at least no one here. Yet, somehow its turned into 14 pages of smearign folks like DCP. Suddenly any existence of a "hit piece" means nothing. This has turned into some other smarmy, pathetic game that doesn't even pertain to any unknown piece. And john threw his barbs and is gone. DCP won't even show up. John tried to paint DCP as a pathetic person earlier...and some must have loved that. Do they no realize the irony there? Pathetic.

Daniel clearly denied the existence of a "hit piece" or "smear", John clearly tried to creatively change his denial to "essay/hit piece" giving the impression that Dan was claiming there was nothing written at all. You whine about me, but give John a free pass again. I think its clear you don't like Daniel at all. Its easy to say otherwise though.
