Ray,

Life in the school yard!
It's a bit odd to call me a "school teacher," but I certainly don't regard the description as an insult -- even though the description was clearly intended to be one.

I'm not quite sure why you think "school teacher" is a term of contempt. (I've noticed it in your posts for a long time now.) It seems a bit bizarre. But then . . . Oh well. Never mind.

Paulio, Paulio! Wow! Did you ever step in it up to your eyeballs! I reeled you in like a fish for dinner!
So am I. So do I.
And your point is what?

He is a school teacher. That about sums it up, a school teacher working on a school campus. He goes around and teaches things according to his educational understanding. It's his profession, not the best one out there but it's a job. He gets a paycheck for being a school teacher.

Jersey Girl on the scene reporter writes: Paulio, the wildman, was observed tonight lifting his jaw up off the floor. The exact cause is unknown. We suspect is has something to do with a foot and a mouth.

Well, several years ago you were highly offended by me calling you a school teacher on the old FAIR board.

That was his opinion. That doesn't make it the gold standard. In my opinion the best job is a building engineer, which I so happen to be.

Have a nice day.

And you are nothing more than a school teacher too. That is my point. There is no need to be ashamed. It's a good job and steady work. I wouldn't want to be a school teacher, but someone has to do it.

I'm a school teacher Paul, not only that, I teach younger children (less prestigious I suspect than teaching the older ones).
For me, it was the best job in the world, and I never watched the clock once. A good school teacher is worth more than pearls for what it's worth, and I suspect that Daniel is very good at it, because he knows his subject, and a whole lot more. Over here he would be called a professor or a Doctor.
At Oxford he would probably be called a Don. However, still as a plain teacher, tutor, lecturer or scholar he would still have my respect simply on account of his expertise in his subjects.
I'm not sure why you are making an issue out of it?

Being a 'humble' school teacher myself, I have a lot of respect for PhD dumbasses (as someone else put it on here, which I found kind of funny), and having a son that continuously thirsts for knowledge I have even more respect for primary and soon to be secondary, school teachers (and there are very few) who know their science and math in any great depth and love their subjects to boot!!
Ray (lol) I simply wouldn't dream of calling one of my tutors, Drs, Professors at college a school teacher, since it wouldn't be giving them credit for their expertise in their subject. I've done six years + years of experience and courses, and am still plain 'ole' teacher, though perhaps one with advanced skills, though they are a bit rusty right now. Daniel, I suspect has done far more. He's worked hard I suspect (though probably not too hard, since he seems to be pretty intelligent, and has a great memory) for the titles he has after his name, so I really don't know why Paul is making an issue out of it.

I think Paul is thinking of that old saying: Those who can, do. Those who can't, ridicule.
