Re: DCP's ongoing problem with plagiarism
This is just so bizarre to me. Why not simply add the footnote?
You could even go the route of "For more information on this topic, I encourage you to visit the following sites that I used to gather the information for this post..."
In previous instances where he was reminded of the source of his material, he has added in a little footnote. Why is he going to such lengths to avoid doing so this time? I just don't get it.

I may be way off here but I read that initially as a reference to Ms Jack's expose on Schryver. Kiwi probably thinks lumping the two incidents together puts a stain on yours but personally I'd consider you in good company there.Lemmie wrote:Also, according to kiwi, if you notice plagiarism you are an arch-feminist?!!! Oh wow, good point. I don't know my mopologetic history well enough, apparently. So kiwi is putting Shriver's misogyny and Peterson's plagiarism in the same category. Hmm...
And thank you, I consider it an honor as well to be considered in MsJack's company. I hereby propose the role of Captain Marvel of MD for the venerable MsJack! (Maybe we can coax Cassius U into a showing of the film in her honor at dusk on the Great Lawn...)

Can I get a comment on the allegation that you plagiarized parts of this article?

These polemical statements are in reference to you, Lemmie?

Given that DCP is monitoring this thread (and he no doubt is), one would think that he would notice that this thread has had more than 31,500 views over time and would, as a result, try to do something to stop the hemorrhaging of good will toward him personally and the LDS Church in general.

Only a theory, I may be way off. That said the alternative reading, that he thinks your attempts to highlight plagiarism somehow makes you a "man-hater" and that you're doing it to highlight misogany, is just too insane for me to ascribe to a human being with a functioning brain (I've definitely being surprised on this front before though).Lemmie wrote:Oh wow, good point. You're welcome. I'd also like to go on record stating that even though early on in this thread, or one of the early ones, I was willing to give benefit of the doubt to Peterson I can't reasonably hold that position anymore. I'll leave it to the brighter minds of the board to organize your excellent suggestions but it gets a +1 from me.Lemmie wrote:I hereby propose the role of Captain Marvel of MD for the venerable MsJack! I was wondering why Kiwi was harshing on Lemmie. Ms. Jack would make more sense as his target.
And your suggestion is simply marvelous!

Nyal is "Lemmie" over at the Sty.
And while he and the rest of the claque are oinking and grunting with vindictive glee, I note that "Lemmie" failed to recognise his own words, even when quoted to him.
How is it that Kiwi is so obtuse? He's more than welcome to come over here, to an open forum, and discuss the issue sans the protection Mr. Peterson affords him. I mean, I doubt he will because he's a coward, but what are ya gonna do?

"Oinking and grunting with vindictive glee?" Who's doing that? I'm just puzzled as hell. I feel like I'm watching someone crash their own brand new car on purpose. I'm not happy about it in the least.
