Why is it you never hear someone claim that because they know the Book of Mormon is true the theory of gravity is wrong?

Silly you. I know for sure the sun will rise tomorrow. Absolutely. I'm positive about that as it has been doing for billions of years and as science has determined it will for billions more. You see, I believe in science and this gives me knowledge. I do NOT have a hope that the sun will rise tomorrow. There is no hope involved in my thinking. Neither is there any faith. I just KNOW it will happen and nothing can stop that.

Let me ask you a question then. Do you think the sum will rise forever? Do you thing that a time will ever come when the sun will rise no more? If you say yes, then you are going against science, because science says that all suns will eventually die, and will "rise" no more.

And, I know you know too!

Well I do know things that you don't know. There are unfulfilled prophecies that remain to be fulfilled, hence the certainty of the sun will rise tomorrow. But you don't know that. So from your point of view, there is no 100% guarantee that the sun will rise tomorrow.

Science says that Mormonism is a fraud. Why are you going against science?

There's no point in converting someone so intellectually deficient as you, Z. You would not be a credit to our side. Not only is that an excellent point, it's a bullseye. According to the early Mormons, the rolls of Abraham and Joseph were indeed penned by the patriarchs themselves. Old man Abraham was a lousy artist and had poor penmanship but Joseph was spot on. Accordingly, these documents were created and drawn by the Hebrew patriarchs themselves. Additionally, other testimony states this was done some 4,000 years ago and placed in the very mummies in which Joseph Smith possessed. Hence we have original autographs that are 4,000 years old, if you can believe it. But modern Egyptology has disproved the Mormon claims and have shown them to be completely false.

Mormons today don't like to discuss these things and most know little or nothing about it. Mormon ignorance today regarding the authorship of the papyrus is staggering. I suppose the General Authorities are imbeciles when it comes to translating ancient Egyptian. They know very little and rarely discuss it. They are ignorant business men masquerading as prophets. They certainly don't like to discuss things that make them uncomfortable. Believe me, the Egyptian papyrus makes the General Authorities uncomfortable. That's why it needs to be rammed down their throats until they choke.

Joseph Smith directly said his translation will be correct, (HC, Vol. 2: 351) well, as correct as practiced by the ancients, and as such they can be tested against that exact same knowledge.

I'd love to ask Joseph Smith, where is the royal cartouche? What is the king's name? I'll bet you anything he'd pop out a bogus answer from under his lying tongue. It wouldn't agree with the ancients! Just imagine the poor ancient scribe who actually drew the Facsimile having a conversation with Joseph Smith.

Barney is failing to see the point which you, Philo, made in the next paragraph. The point is that the HOLY GHOST manifested himself to the saints that the papyri were autographs of Abraham and Joseph, hence Wilford Woodruff saying:

"cause our hearts to burn within us"

That was the Mormon HOLY GHOST in action bearing testimony to the early saints. But today, we see Mormons deny the HOLY GHOST that personally attended the early saints. Mormons today have a different GHOST.

Bottom line, the GHOST of Mormonism is pure spooky nonsense. Ghost Vs. Ghost. Boo!

Who was that “witness,” and what is the source of that quote? Why don’t you provide the context so it can be examined and the reliability of the evidence determined?
