Seven women to every man.

Remember, more males die in infancy than females. Over time, this would ensure that males would far outnumber females in the CK anyway.
So I guess that's why some people are currently suggesting you'll get females from other planets - kind of like how Utah polygamists found new wives in the mission field.

We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

I believe it came from the old testament, something about seven women clinging to one man to share their bread with. Maybe someone will have a more accurate quote. Yes, the correct term was "bread", not "bed"!
I thought that was an analogy and that the seven suburbs of Jerusalem would cleave unto the Holy City in order to share in it's glory.
McConkie took it quite literally. To him, it was obvious that polygamy will recommence in the millennium because of this very quote.

Yes, that would be the only plausible explanation. It's not just infant death; more males are born than women in general; and there are currently more men alive in the world than women. https://www.cia.gov/library/publication ... /2018.html
So unless men are somehow inherently more sinful on average, there will be more men than women in the CK.

McConkie said a lot of things. McConkie also had to eat some crow.

Well Nehor I lived my whole life that way. The spirit told me a lot of things that were in dispute with what the spirit tells others in other faiths. The spirit is subjective. So who is right?
Me.
Funny dude you are.
Now really. What do you do. The spirit tells a couple evangelical friends of mine that they have the truth, that Mormonism is false and that they have been called to minister to Mormons. The spirit tells the Mormon that the Book of Mormon is truth, that the LDS Church is the only true and living Church and that my evangelical friends are sadly misled.
Who is right? Both think the spirit of God is leading them.
I can only know if I am right. I know a few things I am absolutely right on and they are few. Then there are dozens of things I am almost certain I'm right on and hundreds more that I'm guessing at and thousands more I was taught and will continue to believe until I figure out otherwise.
I have no idea what my evangelical friends or the person who sat next to me in Sacrament Meeting are doing to lead them to what they think. The only path I know is mine. I refuse the responsibility of explaining everyone else's spiritual lives. They certainly don't take the pains to explain mine and the athiests spend their time denying mine by calling it something it isn't and writing it off. At least there is symmetry.

Your EV friend would say the same thing.
This is why the scientific method and the rules of logic are so important to human beings. We are so flawed in terms of how reliably we are able to ascertain "truth" just by thinking and feeling, that we need some external process that provides a method of testing these beliefs in an objective, repeatable fashion.
Any truth claims that are not able to be tested in this manner should always be viewed as a private state that does not have authority in regards to making truth claims about external reality.
So no, Nehor, in these questions, you really can't know if you're right. Not because you're a Mormon - because you're a human being.
