I admit “primarily” was a bad word to use – I should have used “principle”, so you could have read “among” - but subtle word play is not my strength. If the occasion arises, I'll be sure to involve the gritty details of the day. I'd love to discuss Joseph, sans the garment, receiving comfort from a bottle of red wine, bullets tearing through his flesh while he pops off three of the six barrels of his borrowed pistol.... is there no help for the widows son. but that would have opened too many doors. milk before meat ya know :)
You're a smarmy ass evolving, but at least your our smarmy ass...
The face of sin today often wears the mask of tolerance.
I really do not expect much change. I hope for change though.
So what we actually have here, it would seem, is another Harmony and another Scratch, except without the serious intellectual limitations of the previous personages.
Let the games begin!

I have already loaned out my two copies of RSR, and two sets of B.H. Roberts Comprehensive History. Next Week - the first vision - the manual uses the 1832 & 1842 accounts, thus opening the door for the other 6 or so versions to be discussed. I have already passed out the comparison chart from FARMS..should be fun
Oh wow, our instructors frequently just read out of the manual. This advance preparation stuff sounds exciting - sort of like how the women teach their lessons.

Except without the doilies or the centerpiece.

And rightly so. It is no different on antimormon sites. Any whiff of a Mormon and the antimormon begins to put up shields until finally the Mormon is banned.
I think that discussions can be questioning and respectful of the audience. And that Seth is what it is all about in Priesthood meeting or in Relief Society.

Much depends on whether the teacher is a teacher or a gifted person who can teach. Reading out of the manual is usually a signal that the person is just a human being with a different talent from teaching.

Not on this site he/she isn't.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

There are no self-proclaimed "anti-mormon" sites that I am aware of. I'd like to see what one looks like. I imagine it looks exactly like a regular website that is critical of religion or Mormonism ;)
It's interesting seeing the different reactions LDS congregations have to unvarnished truth regarding history. Some are really into it, some react with alarm, others just sleep it off like any other lesson. Having just moved from our home of the past ten years, I think I'll attend the local congregation some Sunday just to A) Surprise my wife, and B) See the difference in the local church. There kind of seems to be a difference in "class" of Mormon... we moved from a very humble area to a very affluent area. The difference in appearance of attendees -- from the outside -- and their level of involvement is surprising.
I think the Utah vs. Non-Utah phenomenon is interesting, too. Those outside of Utah seem by and large to be much more receptive to the truth regarding history -- warts and all -- than those I've met inside of Utah. And I've met thousands.
