Sheesh. What a day!
That's because she doesn't love ya.

Come to daddy, I'll give ya lovin' you need. :)

I thought Charity did love me! If she chooses not to reply to my sincere inquiry I'll let ya know how you can be of further assistance. :)

He will come in glory. Do you understand what that means?

No Charity, I don't understand what that means. Is that to say that all conflict, poverty, and illness will be wiped from the face of the earth? How does that work exactly. And I'm asking with complete sincerity. All the people about the world that currently are coping with AIDS, poverty, and are in war torn countries will find themselves at peace, disease free, and tummies full? Is it going to be like a world wide miracle? Those people that once were in squalid conditions will now find themselves in what?

Sorry, Moniker for not answering sooner, but I was at a birthday party.

Yes, it means that all conflict, poveryt, illness, etc. will be done away. That is what we mean when we say that "the earth will receive its paradaisical glory." It will be a Garden of Eden state. Everyone who qualifies as "good men of the earth" will be in the condition you said. At peace. Disease free. Tummies full. World wide miracle. Those people in squalid conditions will find themselves in a state of happiness like the Garden of Eden. Working for your sustenance happened after Adam and Eve were exiled from the Garden.

For those NOT good men of the earth, they will be destroyed in the conflagration that occurs incident to the Second Coming.

I'm sure there are a few people out there who missed that stamp in their passport who'll be calling you for references.

There is an ordinance performed whereby the person is assured that they have proven themselves to be worthy of the Celestial Kingdom. This ordinance only occurs in the temple, and is so sacred that it is not talked about very much. After the ordinance, the person has a personal visitation from the Savior. Anyone who has been so blessed does not talk about it.

Charity! Don't you know you're not supposed to have a life outside these boards? Shame on you! ;)

Hope the party was good! :)

I really didn't know what was supposed to occur when Christ came back to earth. I was thinking that it might be something akin to the Garden of Eden. Thank you for the reply.

Many of us here, Charity, if not most, are well aware of what the Second Anointing is and what it entails, so patronizing us regarding it is unnecessary and inappropriate. The business about personal visitation is of your own invention, since you could not possibly know about something that people "do not talk about," unless you had experienced it personally, and then, you wouldn't be talking about it. p.s. There isn't a single LDS ritual, temple ritual or otherwise, that hasn't been swiped from some other source, and Second Anointing is no exception.

I would assume he would be in hiding. The world will be an absolute mess. Since children under 8 are all innocent, there will be a huge number of them (they make up a major portion of the world’s population). Throughout the heathen nations, all of the Hindus and Buddhists, etc. will be destroyed for their idolatry leaving only the small children.

You know that good man down the street? The one who was a pillar of his community, a good husband and a great father? Well, he was actually addicted to pornography. He will be destroyed leaving his family to glory in the greatness of God.

The world will be a giant post-apocalyptic day care in the burning ruins of civilization. Actually, I’m sure it will be changed into an enchanted lollipop land in the twinkling of an eye.

I'm pretty sure that he won't be too concerned if the 400,000.00 handrail is in that San Diego Temple or not.

Just a hunch.

I wasn't trying to be patronizing. You didn't appear to undersetand what the Second Annointing was. So I explained it. And it is possible to talk about something in general without talking about specific individuals or experiences. It is explained in "Mormon Doctrine." I heard a speaker at a fireside speak of it, as a concept, not as his particular experience. I heard one man tell of his experience where he refused the ordinance because he wasn't sure he was ready to be that perfect.

So even if "most" of you here would know about it, what is wrong with me explaining something to those who don't know?

Gramps responds: There is certainly nothing wrong with it. But you don't know either. It is not a fact that someone who receives their calling and election (the second annointing) then sees God or Christ or whatever. This is from someone very close who received their second annointing.
