That is quite possible. If I was angry as a divorcee, and I was (at lawyers and the government mainly), would I be wrong to advise someone not to take the approach I did, because it will achieve nothing?

I have altered the bracketed portion above. I repent[ed] of my anger. When are the angry exmos going to do the same, so we can talk rationally?

Just out of curiosity, which exmos here do you consider angry? I can think of 2 or 3, but most don't fit the definition. Of course we have 2 or 3 angry mos here, too.

I think the important thing is to take what you want from the boards, and not let the boards take from you.

Posting on Message boards can cause stomach craps, bladder irritation, measles, Black Death, nausea, sneezing, hacking cough, diabetes, falling to the Dark Side, delusions of grandeur, explosive diarrhea, projectile vomiting, your ears to fall off, alien abduction, coma, death and halitosis. Message boards are not for everyone. Consult your doctor before use.

This should be added to the front page.

Especially the part about the stomach craps. Those are deadly.

Infymus, Porter and Mercury are obvious. You yourself said you felt some anger, isn't that right? But you've overcome it, only recently I believe. It's the ferocity of continuing anger I'm talking about. Think about why I did this thread. Do you think it's a coincidence I started it when "dooosh" came back? It's a free board, I can't stop them, I'm just saying there's a better way to get their points across, and continuing and festering anger isn't good for health (see the OP article), and maybe they should consider RFM instead. Perhaps reflecting my own mistake in thinking that by getting angry at exmos would "solve" anything. I'm listening - but don't shout at me. And don't tell me what a "dupe" I am because I'm sympathetic to aspects of Mormonism. This is what dooosh does all the time, and he's not alone.

You'd be better off addressing your comments to specific persons. When you make it generic, it sounds like you're talking about a significant number of posters here, rather than just two or three.

It is purposely generic for any dealing with anger issues, and approaching issues on Mormonism/ex-Mormonism. Do you note how many lurkers come here? The most I've seen at one time was over a hundred. It's not a closed chat-room.

I think the worst thing is back pain. It also causes your desk to fill up with junk. Shall I tell you what I have on my desk?

To my right:
Two cups,
a fork,
tangerine packaging,
insulating tape,
appointment card,
heat/cool pack,
phone,
pot noodle tub,
christmas wrapping paper,
broken biscuit,
crisp packet,
inhaler,
buiscuit packaging.
To my left:
Printer,
wallet,
chocolate wrapper (the one with the thing about love on it),
bus pass form,
contract for accomodation (which I neaded to post a month ago),
book by Hinkley,
book on QP,
a map to get to the cinema,
postits,
coppers.
On the shelf above:
Books,
a bag of sugar,
a bowl,
a carton of fake milk.
I guess I need to tidy up.
Just punched myself on the face...

Perhaps that anger is a product of no one listening. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Well, perhaps you could add some sort of qualifier indicating that you really have a very limited number of people in mind. Personally, I've been told by so many believers that I'm in some sort of emotional state that I'm not in at all, that I tend to think you're painting all with a broad brush. This is particularly so since the term "angry exmormon" has become some sort of code word for "frothing anti-mormon". If you're talking about people who really are in a constant state of anger and hatred, then your comments are appropriate. If, instead, you think - like many on MAD - that any exmormon who continues to express interest in discussing Mormonism in a critical fashion automatically constitutes an "angry exmormon", then my first comments stand.
