Why disparage Tal based on his #1 hit? How many of us have a #1 hit?

If you must disrespect the man, do it based on his ideas and/or arguments, not his music. The proof is in the pudding. Hell, I'd give my left testicle to have an accomplishment like his.

Exactly. I like to think I can sing, but I have not accomplished creating anything remotely as good as "She's So High". In fact, I have not created anything at all music-wise except a scattering effect....

Well, while I rarely agree with what bcspace has to say on this board (except when he is praising Miyazaki), my respect for him just went up big time.

As for Loopy, or Ms Loap, or whatever, I don't know what to say. But I just can't imagine how the guy thinks he is helping his or Mormonism's cause for that matter, when he acts like such a child. Whatever rocks your world, I guess.
I detest my loose style and my libertine sentiments. I thank God, who has removed from my eyes the veil...

I'm male.

And I'm a music snob.
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

Just for clarity's sake; I realize this is a joke and all, but I don't live with my mother.

(Odd that you don't recognize Tal's litany of "ad homs.")

Ok you got me there, perhaps I don't notice his ad homs much. But I'm sure you understand my point.

Tal would sound a lot more stable if he removed many of the "you're an idiot" and "you're a space cadet" comments from his explanations of his viewpoint.

Tal, are you trying to fit into the niche of "I hate religion and what it does to people" crowd but still want to look fresh and edgy by dissing dawkins??

---I don't "hate religion", and I think people who constantly blame something called "religion" for every horror in history are misguided; so why would I want to fit into a social niche based on opinions I think are wrong?

Did your manager tell you to follow that public image or are you just looking for your niche?

---Obviously you haven't noticed - there is approximately ZERO need for me to have a "manager" right now, since there is approximately ZERO demand for my musical services these days, as with so many others affected by the death spiral of the music industry. And, with all respect to the illustrious Dr. Shades, if you think that posting on MormonDiscussions.com has something to do with "public" image, you need a crash course in publicity (or math) - there just aren't that many posters here.

By the way, why is my past radio success regularly mentioned on here by you and so many people? It was nice, but isn't it totally irrelevant to virtually everything discussed here? Who cares?

The only niche I'd like to get into right now is a local rugby team. There are only two obstacles: I've never been on a rugby team and don't really know the rules; and I'm lacking cardio and some serious muscle. (Other than those "minor" obstacles, I'm ready :P).

Oh also, side topic I know but whats your opinion on giving away your music and making money off of concerts and merchandise? Digital music is here to stay and DRM sucks. What is an artist to do when they do not have t be beholden to the mass marketed music industry and the mandates of the RIAA?

---I'd answer, but as you say, you're already pretty tired of me...

One of the bartenders my friend works with used to be a rugby player in New Zealand. The dude scares the piss out of me.

Why not Hockey?

Speaking of Rugby, I believe it to be the sport which frightens me most. (Maybe boxing being the exception.) Interesting to watch, frightening to play, in my opinion.
