I disagree. Jacob 2:30 implies that polygamy can be practiced, if god commands it.

I realize this is an interpretation by some believers, regardless the Book of Mormon states clearly that polygamy is an abomination. Whether God allows polygyny at times or not, nowhere in the Book of Mormon does God state it is anything other than an abomination, breaking the hearts of His daughters.

This isn't just a believer's interpretation. I am not a believer, and I interpret it this way. The passage clearly indicates that God may in some future time (as had happened in the Old Testament) command it for the purpose of "raising seed" unto him.
