Dr. Shades wrote:Knowing DCP, I also know a little about his brand of humor. This appears to me to be nothing more than another example of his using absurdity to illustrate absurdity.
Precisely.
Dr. Shades wrote:Mister Scratch himself never complained to me about it, thereby suggesting that he, too, agrees with me about point #1, above.
I think that's by far the most plausible way of interpreting Scartch's private inaction. On the other hand, his public hyperventilation about my supposed "death threats" is mere histrionics, nothing more than a recent tactical maneuver in his long-term effort to defame me and malign my character.
Dr. Shades wrote:DCP never made any actual threat.
That's correct.
Dr. Shades wrote:He (satirically or otherwise) described thoughts in his head, which isn't illegal.
Satirically.
Scartch has been claiming for several weeks now that I harbor lethal fantasies against him. So I decided to give him a glimpse into the Stygian darkness of my soul, as he imagines my soul to be. That he takes such stuff seriously, or at least pretends to do so, says more about him than about me.
Dr. Shades wrote:Therefore, I hand down the following verdict: "Tempest in a teapot."
Will Scartch appeal this verdict?
Inquiring minds want to know.
