Did you ever come up with the scripture where 'God' condemns lesbian activity as an abomination? Did I miss it?

No I didn't. Yes, you probably did.

You see, the joys of modern revelation and personal revelation is that you have truths outside the scriptures as well.

I would have thought that the "Durrrr, it's not in your scriptures." excuse would have died by now as we're probably the only Church that can definitively lay it to rest.

Whoa, the Church better hide this from whoever evaluates tax exempt organization violations.

Why? I think you'd better check the law on this.

I think the law says not to involve nonprofits in a major way. Here you have members of the nonprofit's board of directors engaged in campaign planning to which they are supplying 40% of the campaign costs and a huge amount of labor in a trans-state election.

Fine, feel free to use any modern revelation that you wish as well. Don't bother with a personal revelation, since that has no effect on anyone but the receiver (otherwise we would have to accept the Lafferty brothers' murderous revelations as valid for us all).

As a refresher, what you said was something like "God said that homosexuality is an abomination." I countered that I have only seen that condemnation applied to male-male action, which would be expected from religions created by men, who are fairly obsessed with male homosexuality. Lesbians (and women in general, actually) are an afterthought, if thought of at all.

If you can come up with a scripture (or an LDS prophet speaking for his god) declaring lesbianism as a Leviticus-style "abomination," I'll cede the point. But I haven't seen it.

It is not condemned in the Bible. For this reason Jewish commentary has made rather uncertain statements about the practice. Maimonides points out that the practice is not prohibited by the Torah, but he nonetheless prohibits the practice in his code. See the discussion in Steven Greenberg, Homosexuality in the Jewish Tradition, p. 89.

Yes, that's how I understand the situation also.
