The above is true only in the following case:

Gad,

..I will say that I have come into possession of a document of just that kind. It is one of the several "Bullseyes" I have been saving for the book.

I am very convinced that positions at the ranch are callings, it is absolutely true that two senior missionary couples are called to serve at the Mormon Gulag.

GoodK,

I would hope you'll find a place in your writings for this statement from the ancients:

15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?
16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

(Old Testament | Isaiah 29:15 - 16)

The Mormon church is well aware of it's programs from the top down. It's how it all works.

Keep up the good work.

Hi Jersey Girl,

truthdancer, I wonder if you could supply us with a description of the conditions of the facility that you referred to so that we have a basis for comparision between what types of supports should be going on for youth and what conditions should not be present and infact detrimental to youth who need support?

Sure!

In my State there are very serious guidelines for the facilities created to support children who are again unable to be safe in mainstream society. The residents are either a danger to themselves or others. While this facility is not a jail it is a lock-down facility and most of the residents are in need of serious help. Let me clearly state, these children are not those who smoke, skip school, or shout at their parents; these are children many of whom have very serious mental health issues, often have been severly abused, and are in a crisis or at high risk.

I work with one facility in particular, am a frequent visitor and in contact with various employees a few times a week.

I'll give you a few examples of how this facility works... first the residents attend a private school on the grounds with regular teachers from the community, have individual, group, and family (if they have a family) therapy on a regular basis, several times a week, and have free time, gym time, etc. They have no work type of activities but do have responsibilities for their room. Depending on the child, these children have help with everything from basic hygiene and grooming to safety issues to study skills. Most importantly however is the therapy to help deal with basic skills to manage their lives and keep them safe.

Families/guardians are an integral part of the program, encouraged to attend planning and treatment meetings, and continually apprised of progress and virtually every area of treatment.

Every restrain is documented with information concerning type and length of restrain along with a nurses report (for each and every event). These records are reviewed by various people in the community. Guardians are given copies of all records.

Planning meetings are conducted monthly (reviewed more frequently), and consist of guardians, therapists, teachers, dietitians, medical staff, staff workers, case workers, program directors, etc., and the resident. Plans are reviewed, goals are monitored, concerns are shared, and there is an overall demonstration of deep concern for each child. The goal is to get the children functioning more appropriately so they can return home or to a less restrictive environment. Most children are there for about six months having successfully achieved their goals.

Children can be taken off campus to visit relatives, (on occasion depending on how safe it is), can receive phone calls every day, and can be visited by concerned loved ones.

There is NO sense of humiliation or degradation whatsoever, no work demands, no wearing of weird clothing, or any of this cruelty.

It is not the ideal place for children, which in my opinion is a loving home with all the needed support, often a therapeutic foster home, still it is nothing at all like the MG.

I am sick when I hear what is happening to children in the MG.

Yep. Sounded like just the place for you.

Quit being an asshole.

How can you be that insensitive to what Eric went through at this place? He is a victim of child abuse....the worst type of abuse possible.
