Maybe it's a healthy sign. I would rather he write doggerel than hunt me down and slaughter me and my whole family. I'll take bad poetry over that option any day.

I have friends in the SCMC, CIA, BATF, FBI, DEA, MI6, PTA, and the Mossad that would be quite willing to take care of that.

The thing about slaughtering sock puppets, however, is that you only have to get rid of one to get rid of the whole drawer full.

By your own admission, you help make this place what you believe it is too. So, go find your own mirror, silly man.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, Droop, but no one takes MAD seriously, except the inhabitants of that particular asylum. But we'll keep the light on for ya, so you can find your way back to sanity occasionally.

And you Beastie? You're one of the primary reasons this forum is as it is, and why the aforementioned apologists don't rate the trailer park as a particularly good place for fruitful discussion.

That's probably true, Droop. Trix has handed them their heads so often, they don't dare engage her any more. She knows what she knows, they know what she knows, and you?... You don't know what you don't know and it shows.

Go look in the proverbial mirror.

I've seen her. She's beautiful.

I'm not here enough, by design, to make it anything Scratch.

I've left it to become what it was destined to become: an echo chamber for bitter, intellectually and morally conflicted apostates and their sycophants.

As I've said many times, I come here now and then to kick the ant hill. This is recreational apologetics, not anything serious as I can get into at MAD. I don't take this place seriously.

Sometimes you do, as with your torture thread. Of course, any time you attempt to defend and explicate your silly views, you get your butt kicked and go retreating to MAD. You just can't hack it, Loran. You are the type of individual who makes lots of jokes and acts sarcastically in order to cover up your own deficits. It's transparent, and it's very sad.

No intellectually serious LDS apologist I know of does.

Daniel C. Peterson has said repeatedly that he "takes seriously" the things that are said here. You need to get your facts straight.

Oh, I disagree. Very many people take MAD seriously. Maxwell Institute scholars and LDS, as well as non-member intellectuals take it seriously enough to participate there in a substantive way, and in most cases, civilly, on a regular basis. However, in no venue is MAD taken more seriously than here. The MAD boards are taken as seriously here as any subject ever has been, if not more so. It is a focus and fixation for many here, and the subject of a vast corpus of postings over the last several years.

Indeed, for a few here, it is an obsession (among others).

Beastie is an intellectual charlatan, and the vast majority of intellectually astute LDS apologists know it.

More than a few have given up debating her because of her manifest inability to follow arguments with any degree of intellectual rigor, and the substantial exaggerations (and omissions) that plague her use of evidence (especially in the Book of Mormon area).

The only sad thing here Scratchkumen are the red faced posturings of a morally vacant, intellectually bankrupt anonymous coward who hides behind various monikers and slings mud at enemies like DCP who loom large in the shadows of his paranoia.

Daniel C. Peterson has said repeatedly that he "takes seriously" the things that are said here. You need to get your facts straight.

I don't doubt that he takes some things said here seriously. I doubt he takes this board as a board, generally speaking, seriously.

I take toxic waste dumps seriously too, but not because they are edifying or enlightening.

We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Three long years of your posts here. Providing the evidence would take weeks of mining the archives.

You'll just have to trust me on this (and, it isn't like I'm the only one who holds this opinion of your views and pretensions to scholarly seriousness).
