No, we already do, as long as you obey the commandments of men.

Will we hear that the TRI is being changed so that kindness and charity will be considered more important than tithing and the Word of Wisdom?
Bitter are we?

Kindness and charity now equals bitterness? Wow, Papa. You've been listening to the Brethren too long!
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Those commandments come from scripture...Take a look at Romans 1

I have never found it to be other than Kind (not the people) but the gospel.

Papa, you realize that what we call scripture is a record of the writings of certain men, right?

Ya lost me, papa. Please clarify.

Counterbalance this with the idea that Harmony's interpretations and views come from a woman, making them even less valid.

Anyone watching Conference? I normally watch both days but I felt like doing Facebook instead. Will have to catch the highlights from Mormon Expression.

Anything interesting to discuss from the talks?

I cleaned 2 cupboards in the kitchen during conference, so I spent most of the time on my knees with my head in the cupboard.

I heard parts of Elder Scotts talk and some of Elder Uchdorf's. I found neither to be excessively helpful or offensive, so I guess that's a good thing. Although I thought a comment Elder Uchdorf made about the church becoming important to the world (or something similiar) to be more wishful thinking than actual fact.

Someone, I don't remember who, talked about the current adversity and gave some ideas about coping with it. To be quite honest, I was more concerned with finding my bleach cleaner at that point than listening to a droning voice on tv. (If someone ever actually has any concrete ideas about coping with unemployment, I think they will come through LDS Employment first... they were somewhat helpful when my kids have searched for jobs in the past.)

Do I get points for at least having my tv on BYU channel?

Usually I'll listen to it while reading MD.

I tend to get most irritated by Elder Holland and Nelson's talks. Holland is such a dogmatic speaker and I wish he would stick to principles instead of taking jabs at Christians. The last conference I had some strong disagreements with his talk on Christ.

Lately Elder Uchdorf has begun to annoy me and I really used to like him. I think it's all those Mormon messages on youtube with him that keep landing in my inbox from TBMs.

I couldn't really enjoy Facebook this morning. All the nauseating status updates like "....is so grateful to hear God speak through His Prophet of the true church this morning!!!"

I leave the room when Packer talks. No sense in taking a chance of throwing something at the tv.

You need new friends. No one sent me anything even remotely like that... of course, most of them are my family, so they know better, and the ones that aren't family aren't members.

LittleTommyMonson of the Big 3 and Boyd KKK and the Top 12 will tell us once and for all just who the Lamanites are. They will present bona-fide Lamanites at the conference and let everyone know where to find them so those who have been called to Lamanite missions will understand who they were really looking for.

Seven,
Holland is the best!! I can't believe you don't like him! He is my favorite Apostle. I guess that's why we have 12, so we can appreciate at least one of the personalities.
Who's your favorite Apostle?
