You don't think the Book of Mormon might be at home in some of the conservative RLDS communities? In particular I am thinking of the Remnant Church which seems to be holding up the banner of original Mormonism.

Shades is NOT being cruel or trying to annoy you. He only wants the best for you. He simply wants you to learn to articulate your feelings instead of using juvenile imagery as a convenient and poor substitute for your words.
All growth takes time. Be patient and above all else, learn to be content and happy in your striving!

I want my smilies.
I, for one, am glad to see them gone. I find the little icons somewhat annoying.
They are so overused on MAD. But even worse is the guy who pastes a "clever" sign graphic at the beginning of every post.

You wouldn't know the difference between real Egyptian, reformed Egyptian, and nonEgyptian. How about you show me the characters that spell Shulem and tell me the name of the king. But you can't do that ...

So....we all have to continue to be punished for one person's folly? I'm sorry, Shades, but I don't think that is right.
That incident happened months ago. I would really like to see it given another try.

Yes, he is being cruel. I don't want him to teach me how to articulate my feelings. I can ardickulate my feelings quite well on my own, thank you.
I want to be a juvenile and act like a smilie fool. That's my choice. I think it is nazi like to force me to act like an adult if I feel like acting like a juvenile. I'll talk anyway I want.

Wow. That surprised me. An honest reply from the heart. I didn't quite expect that. Again, wow.

That WAS another try.

Yes, me too.
Please, please, please, with sugar on top at least consider it. We need our smilies. It's just a thing. Without them there is something missing.
Will you at least pray about it?
