I agree with the way HE intended it. That God the Father was once a Savior like Jesus is now. That would also involve him being like us, in a way, not all the way like us, he was sinless too. I could, and have often expanded on my theology that resolves lots of opened barbs in Restoration scripture.
Not according to official church doctrine. There are plenty of talks published in conference that equate worship to what you cherish the most (usually cars, money, etc).
