Hiding all the negative information isn't honest. If a home seller neglected to tell you, the buyer, about a termite problem he knew about, would you say he was honest?

Nehor is very good at self deception so he can't really see the dishonesty. A few others here are the same, but you will find many apologists who will admit that the church has not been honest in how it presents itself and it's history. I don't worry about those few who are happy in their fantasy world.
The Nehor wrote: Protip: Church pictures (like all historical pictures) are not always accurate. From the pictures of Nephites to the pictures of Christ they are artistic representations. Only a moron goes to Michaelangelo's "Last Supper" and expects to get an accurate picture of what the actual event looked like. The same applies to many Church pictures.
LMAO... Holy Christ, you're an idiot.
Only a moron thinks the inaccuracies of a historical depiction because the artist wasn't there are exactly the same as historical inaccuracies due to knowingly hiding things that don't look good.
You are so full of crap and self-deception, it's staggering. Pretty funny, though.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
A TBM who learns his whole life that Joseph Smith never practiced plural marriage, but merely taught that it was a true principle whenever God has required, is likely to have a personal faith crisis when they learn that Joseph Smith actually had 33 documented plural wives.
I think most TBMs these days understand Joseph practiced polygamy. They just aren't aware of the details.
I was always aware that Joseph was a polygamist. Like the OP said though, it's the damaging information you DON'T know that really shocks your testimony when you find out (if you're a normal, honest person). For instance, I had no idea that several of Joseph's wives were 14 years old. I found that out during the Warren Jeffs thing, and it was very shocking and hard to deal with.

No, it's called artistic license. You may have heard of it. I think it's gonna be big.

Feeling is mutual except I don't need to call on God to realize you are an idiot.

So you are arguing that the artists for these pictures were intentionally trying to deceive? Isn't it more likely they just went with what they thought it looked like rather then do extensive research?
Oh right, they're Mormon. Of course it was a lie. The Brethren probably ordered them to do it that way too.

Especially in Mormonism...
I hope so. I like art.
