Uh, guys?

Do you have any idea what this kind of power would do to me?

Consider Gandalf and the ring.

Consider Anikan and the Force.

If someone started criticizing Stout, coffee, Lady Gaga, the Bronte sisters, or Runtu's writing style, I'm afraid my newfound powers would get the better of me.

Sorry,

Zee

I am sure you would bear the ring humbly, Frodo.

I'd be a fair, if hands-offish mod.

Another one well suited ... Truthdancer.

With regards to Rollo, Jersey Girl although he doesn't post much he might read the board often..I think he recently posted, if so he's still around.

Actually from the Mormon side..I think Yahoo bot might be good, but I know some people have issues with him, but I actually think he would appreciate when something said is not appropriate.

I see E.A just offered, I think he'd be fair and make a good mod...and he's generally not confrontational.

by the way, it would be a better system if mods used a separate account to the one used when posting as a regular poster.

I would definitely vote for EA.

And for Tarski, if he were to volunteer.

Agree.

Rollo would be fine, but Jersey Girl is a windbag who prides herself on self-professed bouts won... best to leave people with an agenda out of it.

You're talking about someone who could be neutral regarding subject matter... disagree. This goes for anyone else who has an agenda and is an obvious liar like Simon Belmont.

Agree. Also nominate LDS Toronto, Rambo, moksha, and any level-headed human that A) wants to do this, B) Has the time to do this, and C) Can be neutral. Our resident NARC (Joseph) should be in charge of copyright violations.

EA would be a good mod.

I thought about volunteering for a summer stint (while school is out) even though that would mean clearing my ignore list. And while that would be a huge sacrifice, I'm more worried about the time commitment.

If there were a big pool of candidates and a rotating small assignment like someone suggested, I might reconsider, but right now I don't think I would want to say yes.

Marg, hit one of my thoughts right on the head. For an example, I have always liked Scotty's posts and now I don't see him posting very often. Could it be that he is too busy being a moderator to post?
