Droopy,
We are shoveling your comments right into the cesspool for treatment.

Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

(the phrase just sounds funny after all these years--especially since I know Droopy is referring to Mormonism when he says "the gospel".)
the things you've said about Joseph Smith above are ugly, evil, and untrue.
ugly--check
evil--check
untrue? oh really? Which are untrue?
Just as it would have affected one's standing in any dispensation with the prophet at the head of that dispensation
dispensation as used here is more Mormon speak and this too sounds funny to me tonight. I'm in a mood.

Droopy wrote:Its funny. Your apostasy from the gospel and the degree to which you have allowed the adversary to string you up and play with you like a human marionette has driven you a bit mad, in a sense, just like it has Kevin Graham, with the clear difference that you are just a much nicer guy and have a much more mature, less confrontational personality.
I'm sure you don't see it, at this point, but the things you've said about Joseph Smith above are ugly, evil, and untrue. Its a shame to see an otherwise decent person wrapped up tight like a gnat in spider silk after the spider has twisted it round and round and round, striking out, not against the spider, but against Joseph Smith, who told him not to go near the spider web in the first place.
My conscience is clear, and I have said nothing untrue about Joseph Smith. If you want to justify his behavior, be my guest. I can't, and I won't.

Tarski, global warming is real, its here, and we must act now. Just repeat this over and over and over and over again and the the big boys deal with any problems alleged to adhere to Joseph.

My conscience is clear,
No its not. Its a bad conscience, not a clear conscience. Otherwise, you wouldn't have spent years in these and other forums attacking, attacking, and attacking Joseph Smith again, and again, and again. Your behavior is not that of one with a clear conscience, but of one desperately repeating the criticisms and self justifications that originally led him out of the gospel and church in an attempt to continually reinforce and reaffirm the original motives.
and I have said nothing untrue about Joseph Smith.
You've been repeating the lies and defamations of his traditional critics here for a number of years; claims that you cannot support with evidence or facts, nor with compelling argument.
If you want to justify his behavior, be my guest. I can't, and I won't.
Satan is, indeed, the "accuser of the Brethren."

Oh, please. I have not spent years attacking Joseph Smith. Expressing my opinion that he wasn't what he claimed to be and admitting that I don't really like him are not desperate attempts to justify anything. On the contrary, you are the one who has to defend dishonesty and unfaithfulness in Joseph Smith.
You've been repeating the lies and defamations of his traditional critics here for a number of years; claims that you cannot support with evidence or facts, nor with compelling argument.
CFR. Show me just one example of a lie I have ever said about Joseph Smith. Otherwise, I'll have to assume you are the liar.

I said that you have been passing on the historic ies, distortions, innuendos, assumptions, and bad faith of other critics of the Church, which you have, and all I have to do to elicit some of them is to say "plural marriage."

In other words, you can't come up with a single example. I have expressed my opinions about his practice of plural marriage, and I have presented the evidence in support of my opinions. I have never once made an "accusation" that was not clearly supported by the evidence. Disagree with me, but you have no cause to call me a liar.
Intentionally making an unwarranted and unsupported accusation, such as the one you've made against me, is known in most circles as lying. But you would never stoop to apologizing to a dirtbag apostate like me.

Indeed the evidence points to it. Political hacks deny it like creationists deny evolution and for similar reasons.
Those are the facts and we are acting now.
Now, what in the hell do these facts have to with the topic?
Staying on topic is easier sober Droopy.

You are such a silly man sometimes, Loran.
And then comes the bite, and...
Paralyzation.
Then the prey is slowly liquefied and devoured...while still living, leaving only a moist, blackened corpse behind, empty of its own life giving tissues.
What better metaphor of the loss of our souls to Satan in that process of becoming his "children?" He is a "roaring lion" prowling around the earth seeking "whom he may devour."
A Lion indeed, but a spider is also a nice metaphorical symbol of his techniques. Lions don't have webs, but he has a "great chain in his hand." Well, as well we could say a great web of chains.
The only thing silly is perhaps your lack of imagination.
