My biggest question at this point is: Will it be reviewed by FARMS?

I sincerely doubt it. It's not anti-Mormon, and it doesn't have anything to do with apologetics. It's just the story of what happened on my mission.

Well, Runtu, "Fun for Family Night" wasn't "anti-Mormon" either, and yet that didn't stop the Mopologists from tearing the author a new one. You have to remember that, at one point, the editorial team vowed to review *every* book that was published on the topic of Mormonism--no matter how tangential or innocent. I'm sure that a lot of the featured authors never had any idea that they'd stumbled into the FARMS crosshairs--at least you now know that there is a possibility that you'll get "The Treatment." But look on the bright side: if they do actually review it, it could boost your readership considerably.

Kindle has a program for your pc. When my first kindle broke, I just downloaded that "kindle for pc" at Amazon and read the books on my lap top. All the Kindle books I had bought online I was allowed to access with the computer program. I recently bought the 79 dollar dollar kindle and it's really cool. All the Kindle books that I bought online also are able to be accessed on the new one. You need a Wi Fi connection for the 79 dolllar one.

Thank you. I'm glad you could relate to it and have enjoyed it. My goal was just to write what happened and what I was doing and feeling and thinking at that time. I figure readers can make up their own mind what to get from my book, and so far, I've been happy with the response. Only one person has expressed hostility, and he hasn't read it.

So BKP called you, huh?

I don't really care if they review it or not. A FARMS review might get it a broader audience than it would otherwise have, so if they want to rip me a new one, they can do so, and I won't mind. Life's to short to worry about what someone else thinks. That I've had one hostile reaction tells me I succeeded in writing a book that allows the reader to make up their mind about it.

Reading it--excellent!

I served in the Republic of China (Taiwan), Southern Mission. To me, the experiences you portray in Heaven Up Here as an elder in a foreign culture are as familiar as they are poignant. Thank you for writing this.

I wish I had the dollars to get it. Would be well worth my time. Will sooner or later, probably when mine goes through. I wouldn't be surprised if it has some subtle lessons on Mormon views on the problem of pain vs the standard Christian view.

I'm going for nihil obstat imprimatur so it will take some time.

I think I'll have a print edition out sooner rather than later. I'm not sure whether to do a hardback or paperback.

This is a horror story. You had roundworms, tapeworms, whipworms and amebic dysentery all at once? Do you still have any of these critters in you? <shudder>

I am so glad things were never that bad for me in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

I really want to read it, but don't have a kindle or nook. I do have an IPOD. Is there an AP for that? (this is probably an exceedingly stupid question)

Do you have a PC? If yes, download the free Kindle app which allows you to purchase & read Runtu's book on your computer...
