Poll after poll shows that the big count swing States of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, are moving steadily into the Obama Camp. Obama is now ahead in all three and pulling away, especially in Florida. The Romney campaign can't hope match the Obama organization in Florida, regardless of the money they have to spend. I worked on this team in 2008 and it was good then. It is better now. There are a lot of wealthy liberal Jews down in Florida who really do not like Romney - and they are fired up, as are the hispanics and other minorities.

Mitt Romney will win all of the States that Senator John McCain won, Plus Indiana and North Carolina. Mitt Romney will also win Florida if he Picks Senator Marco Rubio as his running mate.

I live in NC, and the job situation here has really soured the folks here on Obama. Obama took NC in 2008. I voted for him then. But based on the job market, I will not vote for him again. Unless Obama can do something to stimulate the economy, like change his mind about the oil pipeline, I think he is seriously going to have a hard time. Let's face it. The ability to feed families outweighs religion.

North Carolina's unemployment rate is at 9.4%, which is 1.2% higher than the Nation's unemployment rate.

Marco Rubio has stated several times that he has no interest in being Romney's running mate. It would be a case of a young talented jockey getting aboard a losing horse. Better for Rubio to wait, and he knows it. And the fact that Rubio is not interested in the VP spot with Romney isn't helping Romney in Florida, either.

Folks should not underestimate the Romney "creepiness" factor in Florida, especially in South Florida (Palm Beach County on down).

that's a pretty plausible electoral outcome based on current polling, but there's no way in hell Romney picks an exmo for his running mate.

In other words, Secret Service are "near" in all kinds of places and situations without having to be right there with a President.
So no, they won't need to go into the Temple. They may however be allowed to "check" it before hand.

How would that actually happen I wonder...

First they would have to get everyone out of the Temple.
Then they would have to undedicate the Temple to enable the non reccommend holding secret service to conduct a top to bottom search, including the holy of holies.
Then it would have to remained sealed whilst it was rededicated.
Then Romney (providing he holds a current recommend) could go in an do his stuff, including taking an oath that would conflict with his Presidential oath, with specially selected patrons and officiators.

Yes, I can see how easily and how smoothly this is going to work...

Non-reccommend holders enter temples without the need for re-dedication, particularly fire code inspectors and at times EMT's.

The whole thing would be a little more complicated than attending Eucharist at St. James, but far from impossible.

I still think the publicity angle would be a bigger problem than the logistics.

Do you think the Secret Service sweeps every last janitor's and storage closet in Buckingham Place when Obama drops by for tea?

Do you think there is a Secret Service agent next to the bed when the O's get their O faces?

I did not realise non recommend holders were allowed into Temples, are you sure? I'm pretty certain that one barrier to a Temple in France is because the Church won't commit to allowing law enforcement officers access.

On your other points.
People entering Buckingham Palace and the White House bedroom are already vetted by Secret Service personnel etc. People entering the Temple attendee's are only vetted by some bloke who got landed as Bishop who thinks God is going to tell him when someone trying to get a recommend really shouldn't be allowed one.

Do you really think the fire department inspectors in Atlanta, GA have temple reccommends? When some old bloke has a heart attack in the Inititory area, do they wait for EMT's with temple reccommends? Was the Jordon River temple? rededicated after the shoot out? You believe too much of what the church tells you.

Jordan River temple shoot out.... ....what planet have I been on...

Update: No shoot out, just some guy who said he was going to do it so that's a bit of a red herring.

No, this is red herring, all of the code inspectors in Toronto have temple reccommends. Or is Toronto on a different planet?
