And isn't it interesting that, when pushed to this point, most will not write that letter. I believe it is because deep in their hearts, they know Joseph Smith was telling the truth, and they don't want to take that final, tragic step.

I would like to be excommunicated. Because, I would rather my Mormon family not view my leaving their religion as a rejection of them. I like the idea better that their religion is a rejection of me. Which sums up that entire article pretty well. It says to me, "We reject your choice and are going to pretend that you never made it." ...people living in a world of make believe. Every cupcake left on my doorstep confirms this. Now this says, people are pretending that I know Joseph Smith was telling the truth. If I believed such a thing, I would be: Mormon.
Being a Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with an event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction -Pope Benedict XVI

Same here... Just can't do it... The wife still hopes I'll grow up and change my mind.
But if they pulled the plug then that's different.

I don't want to drink, smoke or sleep around.

With me it all about the manipulation and contradiction and confusion.
PrickKicker: I used to be a Narrow minded, short sighted, Lying, Racist, Homophobic, Pious, Moron. But they were all behavioral traits that I had learnt through Mormonism.
