Went up 10X normal volume for several days - still way higher. We've also gotten hundreds and hundreds of emails - most in support, a few condemning us to Outer Darkness and many people that never knew about these issues until now and are just investigating them.

Very glad to hear this. As LDS Church leadership and the Romney campaign seem to be discovering in tandem, if there were such a thing as karma, it would indeed be a bitch.
One can only fool so many of the people so much of the time. And it seems like the number of people that can be fooled by Mormons and Mormonism are in ever shorter supply.
IMHO, MT is playing an important role in helping reduce the number of fooled people.

You continue to insist on a false dichotomy which equates Twede not writing "faith-promoting" articles that do not "support the LDS general authorities" to wanting to destroy the Church. That is nonsense. It was never Twede's intent to promote the Church, but it was also never his intention to destroy it, either. Rather, his intent was to tell the truths about the Church that it does not tell about itself. If that includes facts that are difficult for believers, so be it. It is still the truth, and telling the truth about an institution that demands such an enormous amount of time, money and conviction from its members is ALWAYS a good thing, particularly when that institution refuses to tell those truths itself.
To insist that Twede is an apostate because what he writes does not promote the Church is obtuse. In fact, if you automatically equate the truths Twede writes about the Church with not being "faith-promoting," what does that say about the Church? Your argument that Twede is an apostate does more to make the Church look bad than anything Twede actually writes.

Not exactly. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a trademark registered by Intellectual Reserve, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Corporation of the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Corporation of the President is a corporation sole--it only has one shareholder, whomever is the senior member of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles, transferring to the next in line automatically upon death.

Regardless of its corporate structure, the LDS Church has a business model that is hard to beat.

Despite the language that Twede uses, is there anything in those statements you cite that are patently false? Or are you just upset because he used non-passive language?
The LDS church IS a corporation. It belongs right next to the NYSE.
I don't think that the LDS church is a corporation. Nor do I think that his descriptions hit the mark either. Now I understand his anger about a nonissue. And I can understand that the Mall is at the moment favorite his bedbug. But here is a newsflash. The LDS church has money. It has investments. As do other chruches that have some money to invest. And yes, the LDS can sell all its holdings and give it to african dicatators who in turn will build a soup kitchen for a week.
But at the end of the day, the mall provides needed work to many people and it provides a place to buy clothes and other items. Where would america be without malls?
For critics, the mall is just an excuse to proclaim antimormon diatribes against the LDS church.

If the poster has resigned, it now becomes apparent that he was antimormon since his latest blog is a frontal attack against the LDS leadership. Now he is free to show his true colors without fear.
Case in point. Scott was right.

There is no such organization as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As you mention, it's just a trademarked name, like Twinkie or Jell-o, except there's more substance to the latter two.

The article suggests it's postponed rather than cancelled.
Romney carry's some weight with the Church disciplinary process it seems...
