I withdrawn that comment. I'm sorry for that I do believe you are honest in your intentions and in any posting interactions you and I have had.

Thank you for that.

I guess progress is possible after all.

Who's the only person in view practicing any deception?

Yes, sometimes practical jokes involve deception ... it was a joke dude. So now maybe you can start by admitting, that besides this one-off joke, my posting history with you and elsewhere has never been deceptive.

<Crickets chirping>

You're right; as far as I know, it never has been.

Which is why I was prepared to allow for the possibility that you might have had a good faith basis to believe what you asserted.

Which, according to you, means I was punked, caught, and -- oh yes -- a fool.

Now, what's that saying that starts off "Fool me once?"

While you're at it, please explain how setting out to debunk a rumour makes someone a "gossip lady?"

yea, I rubbed it in a bit much ... it was rewarding for a moment. I forget how anal retentive you are with the exactness of ones wording.

Well, I was set to start using it fairly regularly in retaliation for your disrespectful use of Backslider. You know, just to jab and try and hurt each other.

I’ll drop it now, rather you choose to follow suit or not.

Ah. I see.

Well, let's not get hung up on wording. How else would you like to word it? Giving you the benefit of the doubt makes me... what, in your view?

Funny; I apparently dropped "Backslider" before you dropped "Gossip lady."

So I'll have to "follow suit" from the front.

More accurately I happened to be the last one to tit-for-tat your post up a post or three from my last use.

But sure, be generous to yourself, I’m sure your last use somehow implied you were done with repeating this in the future. Cause that's just the kind of guy you are!!

Now who's getting anally retentive about wording?

How about: more accurately still, I dropped it without blowing a trumpet, making an ostentatious announcement and giving myself a pat on the back therefor.

Now to my other question: without getting hung up on wording, giving you the benefit of the doubt makes me... what, in your view?

For what it's worth, *I* certainly thought it was funny.

I am grateful that you valued my posting history enough to suppose their may be some underlying truth to be found.

I was just surprised, with the post being so ludicrous, that I thought it would have been obvious that it was a troll.

I do realize you are a very thorough man and with my joke being focused on our previous bouts over the "Zion Curtain" I should have realized you would do your homework before responding. That it caught several regular posters at mad with a question mark for a second just added to the fun. Sorry (kind of) that you even gave it a serious second thought.

But hey, that's the fun of a good practical joke ... for the observers that is

So did I.

Wow Pahoran

Must have been a slow day at MDAD. I saw Rock's post on Liz's board that you call a FDR. It was clear to me that he was kidding around from the start.

You must have been desperate to trash somebody today. Keep up the good work buddy. Fruits of the gospel and all that you know.

Well, it was certainly clear that his assertions were not true. As to what his intentions were? That's another matter.
