not "boyishly handsome," i agree, the picture Moksha posted at the top of page 3 is that. but i have to disagree with you on one thing, this new picture is anything but ordinary. He's got that bad boy intrigue, which fits much better with the stories of his cheating nature and dishonest approach to relationships. my grandmother would have called him a "scalawag," and i guarantee that my mom, who had a crush on young Elvis, would have found this photo irresistible, even though she walked the straight and narrow in her TBM life. think Travolta in Grease, Johnny Depp in Crybaby, James Dean in anything. None of this, by the way, excuses the reprehensible way Joseph Smith treated people, most specifically his wife, the little girls he stalked, and the men he sent away so he could have their wives. But, it seems clear he used his looks and body to his full advantage as he went through life, every dishonest and despicable step of the way.
