Either you accept all of the Book of Abraham as the word of God or you do not.
I think there is a middle ground which I have covered with you in previous threads.

To whom? Please don't tell me you still think you're doing missionary work here.

You should ignore me. My words don't make a difference, right?

I would have no problem at all if you simply ignored me. Apparently you feel as though you need to interact. Even if it is often through childish and silly memes.

I can see one coming.

MG, your suggestions and advice were so impactful, they've convinced me to... well, almost ignore them.

Nonsense. It’s verbatim copying of the KJV Bible, including syntax and errors made in the 17th Century. Stop being dishonest.
If you take God and angels out of the picture it would paint a pretty damning picture.
God and angels caused Joseph to pick up a KJV Bible, plagiarise it, verbatim, and pretend that it was written 1,000 years earlier than it was? Or God and angels revealed KJV Bible content (including syntax, fonts, and errors) on the stone in the hat and pretend that it was written 1,000 years earlier than it was? I’m not seeing a third option for how, specifically, it got into the Book of Mormon. So which one of those two is the version that you want to go with? I’m guessing you will avoid getting into specifics, and instead wave your hands in the air and just go with “Hey, it’s magic!”.

Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

It's worse than that. People that believe in god and angels would view mg's storyline about his version of god and angels as demonic and evil. They would consider him possessed and recommend exorcism. Talk about "a damning picture," to quote the mentalgymnastics of the demonically possessed.

He doesn’t think through the implications of his rushed responses. The Book of Mormon contains plagiarised KJV Bible content (including matching fonts and errors). That’s unarguable. Now if you want to deny that Joseph picked up a copy of the KJV Bible and copied it, you’re left with saying God plagiarised the KJV Bible. It really is either/or.

Bro. MG,

Of course you can say what you want here in Nauvoo which is as American as any other state in the union but not without consequence and the penalties for discrediting Joseph's latest revelations concerning the Egyptians and how and when the Egyptian state was first established after the flood. Your comments have sounded the alarm in the ears of several of the brethren and I must warn you that things you have said have reached the desk of the First Presidency. I was specifically told to remind you that the revelation of the Book of Abraham and the translations of the Book of Mormon are the word of God and are entirely true. But you have expressed reservations on certain points and are therefore responsible for spreading discord in our community and several of the brethren think you are kicking against the pricks because you fail to embrace the revelations as being totally true and historical in which the prophet has confirmed those things are literally true.

Therefore, brother MG, you are hereby called to repent and amend your ways or action will be taken against you and your membership among the saints here in the midst of Zion is in jeopardy. I, your faithful brother who embraces the Book of Abraham revelations and translations as the literal word of God and an accurate telling given by father Abraham about how and when Egypt was established prior to Abraham revealing the doctrines contained on the scroll that was written by his very hand.

The KJV within the Book of Mormon is a smoking gun, period. Although Smith took care in transferring biblical text into his own stories (farthing vs. senine), he was ignorant of marked differences between KJV text and the Brass Plate Version of what would originally be expressed by the authors. But all that went over Smith's head and he just didn't know. The same could be said for borrowing biblical understanding of how and when Egypt was first established after the flood which is historically inaccurate and untrue. But Joseph took those things literally and tendered it as revelations to the entire world.
