I couldn't care less about "what Jesus would want." Assuming he exists, I don't know him, and neither do you.drumdude wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 5:36 pmJust like Jesus would have wanted.bill4long wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 5:13 pm
If such a "warming center" were proposed to be built around my neighborhood, I most certainly would oppose it. I'm a homeowner in a nice and safe neighborhood and I want to keep it that way. What rational person wouldn't?
I don't want drug addicts and mentally ill people wandering around the neighborhood. I don't want my property devalued. If they were going to build it on the edge of town, I wouldn't care, and I would probably donate money to it.
If the city council insists on doing things like this, they should fuqq off and put them in their own neighborhoods.
In a few decades I’m sure these Mormons will be fully secular atheists, converted to their new religion of “not in my backyard.”
But do tell us about yourself? You live in a slum or something? Do you have kids? Do you give a crap about crime in your neighborhood? Are you a renter or a homeowner? Do you have an EBT card? Do you receive a government subsidy?
