What kind of nut would agree? The One True Church is not supposed to stand for the right? The One True Church sees standing for the right and saving souls as separate, mutually exclusive things? Only an anti-mormon would try to pin that on the church.

To be honest, when people make comments about their personal lives on message boards, the comments tend to go in one ear and out the other, as the saying goes.

If he is actually celibate, that would go a long way towards explaining his frustration in life.

LOL Like getting gov't recognition makes you equal. When the gov't starts giving congressional medals of honor to people who buy "green" vehicles, that will not make their behavior equal to actual heroes. Similarly, a gay union is never going to be a real marriage.

Nope.

The context is that mankind is basically bound to this Earth. This is apparently true - no living man has gone beyond the orbit of the Moon, which itself orbits the Earth, no one has ever been born or died somewhere other than Earth (albeit some have died at a considerable altitude), and even the astronauts and cosmonauts who have put in years in space did it all in low Earth orbit, essentially at a high altitude.
On the day we establish a permanent self-sustaining colony on Mars or some other planet and people are born there - on that day he'll be proven wrong. If the Second Coming happens first then he'll have been right.
