I think that comment was unnecessaryily rude, Some Schmo. Not only does it feel unnecessarily demeaning to Wade, but, at the risk of sounding a bit over-sensative, myself (?), it potentially reads as a condescending phrase towards gay men, in general.

Well, I certainly didn't mean it as anything negative toward gay men generally, and I'm sorry if you were offended.

Would it help if I tell everyone they just misinterpreted what I said?

I leave the thread for half a day only to find the participants starting to turn and feed on themselves once the main object of their derision is not around. Such angelic behavior is again, of course, my fault.

Much gratitude to Darin, though, for comng to the defense of someone he believes views him with contempt (I wasn't aware that I viewed him in that way). This speaks very high of him.

And, much gratitude to Some Schmo for inadvertantly sturing the PC behive even though it ment him getting stung by some of his own.
